“My bank has the same number of clerks that they had 50 years ago......way back when we actually had cash in our pockets and didn’t need an ATM.”

Well I don't want to ever support Obama. But the number of people working in retail bank locations is much lower than in the past. Most people have no need to come into a bank anymore. With online banking especially; why would someone take the time?

His ATM comment is foolish however; as those were widely adopted in the 70’s.

The gist of his comment (if I remember) id that technology has eliminated some jobs>
Well duhh Mr President. Ever hear of the Industrial Revolution? Not exactly a new thing.

How did this guy get elected?

“How did this guy get elected?”

More voters than not learned to believe everything ABCCBSCNNNBC/AP told them.

I use ATM's mainly to make deposits. If I need cash, I generally get cash back at the supermarket checkout.

About the only time I ever go into a bank anymore is if they are offering some worthwhile freebie to open or add to an account. Then, I'm amazed that there are still lines at brick and mortar banks since few of the customers are comming in for the freebies.
