The whole reason he pulled out all the stops was because until Obamacare, every single thing he put his “weight” behind failed. Every single thing. And even obamacare crippled him in the end.
That is not someone who’s “power knows no bounds”. That is someone who pulled out ALL of his political markers to get a false success after being shut out on everything else.
Yes, our mouths were agape, but only because the whole congress was so impotent and people were taking Pelosi and Reid seriously. For me it was high comedy, because I had already gone on record that this country and the world will enter a period as bad or worse than the Great Depression. Obamacare was a sideshow. It still is. There is no way it can help, and the only damage it can do is akin to an old WWII dogfight where a plane is shooting into a plane already going down in flames.

I get what you are saying. I am saying that the audacity left us agape. Marxism is now somewhat institutionalized and even in the case of a win for us in 17 months, it will take years to undo and we have to take the senate to maximize any progress for our side. That’s power inarguably. (In my humble opinion.)
