I beiieve three things changed the series.
1. Marschand
2. Thomas
3. Luongo
Boston played great hockey across the board. But the Canucks could not stop marschand. He played like he was a midget major goin up against mites.
Thomas stopped everything. On the flip side, Luongo let in everything. It is so obvious that he is weak gloveside, it is amazing the Canucks got this far with him in net.
All in all, it was a classic series, one of the best I have seen, and I have seen about 45 of them. Oh well, it’s officially baseball season. Only 100 days before goalies report.
One more thing: in 25 playoff games this year, Henrik Sedin and his brother Daniel each averaged over 20 minutes on the ice per game but were -11 and -9 respectively, plus/minus. I don’t have the figures yet for the Finals, but with the Bruins having outscored Vancouver 23-8, it won’t be pretty...
