Weve heard a lot about the religious lefts appropriationor misappropriationof the language of social justice. Whats most troubling to me, though, has not been the abuse of this language by our religious left brothers and sisterswith whom we share a sincere bond in Christbut by the extreme fringes of the left, namely, the atheistic communist left.
In research for my most recent book I found repeatedlydating back a century and beginning with the Soviet Comintern and the Communist Party USA (CPUSA)communists exploiting social-justice language. They did so not because they believed in Jesusquite the contrarybut to dupe believers in Jesus, specifically Christian progressives. As I dug into the Soviet Comintern archives on the CPUSA, it took little time to confirm what Herb Romerstein, Americas foremost expert on communism, had warned me about: The religious left was the biggest suckers of them all.
Here Ill offer a quick snapshot of merely two examples, one from the 1940s and another from today.
First, there is the American Peace Mobilization, which Congress called one of the most seditious organizations which ever operated in the United States, one of the most notorious and blatantly Communist fronts ever organized in this country, and an instrument of the Communist Party line.
I have the actual declassified Soviet document (published on page 142 of my book Dupes) stating that the American Peace Mobilization was created on the initiative of our Party in Chicago in September 1940. Its goal was to keep America from fighting Adolf Hitler. Why? Because Hitler had a non-aggression pact with Joseph Stalin, and American communists were loyal Soviet patriots. The American Peace Mobilization angrily demanded no Lend-Lease to England, even as the Nazis savaged the Brits.
This was a pernicious position. Yet, the peace mobilization, which suddenly became pro-war the minute Hitler betrayed Stalin and invaded the USSR, had more success with liberal Christians than any other group. If these Christians understood how badly they were used, theyd be on their knees.
Predictably, also taken for a ride was The New York Times, which described the American Peace Mobilization not as a communist front but as a group of clergymen. And why not? Of the signers to the groups mass rally in New York in April 1941, a quarter of the names began with Reverend.
I guess there are no wars now because I haven't seen a sign since Zero entered office.
No, we don't share a sincere bond with the religious left 'christians' because it's not the same Christ whom we worship. If you catechize these imposters even briefly, you'll discover that they don't believe even the most basic truths about Jesus Christ. Otherwise, their lives would be transformed.
I was raised in the Cult of Christian Science.
After I was saved the faith movement came along.
I recognized it immediately, but many still embrace
the metaphysical and heretical teachings of Anton
Mesmer, Mary Baker Eddy (and others) because
they learned to use the language of believers.
Duped indeed.
DU-PING!
I think this is a really important post because
many clergy are aligning with climate change and
compensations for carbon offset crowd.
LEFT SPEECHLESS
So they can do no further harm, I’m asking GOD
to render the left speechless.
The delusion is strong indeed.
Daniel 8:25
AMEN and A M E N ! ! !
Always good to hear from you Jo, thanks.
XOXOXOXOXO!
Leftists are not Christians. The two belief systems are mutually exclusive.
Jesus asks how you can call yourself his follower if you don’t do what he tells you to do. The leftists promote all those things that God hates (abortion, homosexuality, promiscuity, theft, hatred, etc). How can they call themselves Christ followers when obviously they are not?
If someone identifies themselves as a liberal (or homosexual. Same reasoning applies) then they are embracing their sin and refusing the Savior. Men may have problems with sin but when they identify themselves as their sin they are rejecting Christ. You can’t be a Christian and yet reject Christ.
