When should we start to expect the "unexpected"?

Every economic datum released in the last month has been dutifully reported as "worse than expected," from the various Federal Reserve regional economic surveys, initial claims for unemployment, plus every measure of housing activity, just to mention a few.

But go over to Foxnews and read their glowing headlines about how the economy is “turning around”.
Fox news is as bad a liar as the other pravda pawns!

The god of this world has blinded the eyes of the “Progressives” and convinced them that they are illuminated, so that every scheme they think is a great one flops in the mud, and that surprises them.

It doesn’t surprise anybody else.

This is why we need to:

1) Cut the size of government at all levels 30% at minimum by looking for bureaucratic overlap and agency bloat.
2) Massively overhaul our income tax system so it has low compliance costs, encourages savings and is more business-friendly.
3) Aggressively oversee the operations of Wall Street to stop or drastically slow down the out-of-control speculation that caused the 1929 and 2008 stock market crashes.

Implement these three steps and our economy will start picking up again.

I think the Republican Congress is being set up with this slew of bad economic news. After we’ve been flooded with this news for awhile, Obama will state, “Hey, it’s not my fault, you elected a Republic congress, they’re stonewalling and holding up MY policies, causing gridlock, so therefore the blame falls on their shoulders.”

That’s what I see happening here. Otherwise, the MSM wouldn’t be so eager to report this stuff in the Obama era.

As more monetization of the debt will be facilitated, watch for more fuel and other inflation after that.
