I will admit that some of the speculations about it are off the wall and others simply lack the kind of insight that someone like you would naturally have. But you can't tell me with a straight face that doubts about anything coming out of this WH hasn't arisen from well deserved skepticism can you?
I don't think anyone on this forum, from the posts I have seen, can be rightfully accused of deliberately maligning the SEALs, or JSOC operators in general, with their speculations but that accusation has been freely tossed around. Not by you that I know of but by many others. I don't think that is deserved.

I vote no here, because I am entering the camp that thinks that our CIC did NOT want to do anything at all, and finally was pushed into action with the 2012 elections looming.
The next question would be, what action did the CIC finally approve? On another thread, Vermont Lt. speculated that maybe it was supposed to be a capture mission that went south, and more and more I am thinking that a CAPTURE mission was a mission that our Muslim loving CIC could get on board for.
Also explains the sea burial and the refusal to release photos. Our CIC is trying desperately to just make this whole situation go away.

Like I said in a thread yesterday.
There are people that will claim that they don’t believe bin Laden is dead because the President has not released the long form death certificate.
Even after that happens some folks are going to claim that the death certificate has been photoshopped and that is obivously a fake because if you strip away the layers it reveals the place of death as Costellobad, Pakistan.
With this corrupt, lying, traitorous government....anything is plausible.
I’d say they’d better hope he is either dead or that they do have him contained somewhere....imagine the backlash if Osama showed up on a video in the future (and it was proven to be him), claiming he was planning some terrorist plot? I wonder if people would finally believe how bad this government is, then?
