Getting Osams: Low Risk, High Reward

A little perspective, please. No mater how Obama tries to spin it, he did not personally rappel out of a helicopter and take the perfect head shot that put bin Laden out of commission.

Nor was his decision to unleash our magnificent Navy SEALS a singular act of courage. Osama had been chillin the burbs for years. Somehow we got the right intel just about the time that Obama’s poll numbers began to free fall. Dropping a bomb would net him less political rewards. There was the risk of being unable to prove that bin Laden had indeed gone home to Allah.

The politician in chief instead chose the path of lowest risk and highest political reward. It was nearly risk free, unless you count the danger of losing a few of our SEALS–not a big worry for this Commander in Chief. What mattered to Obama was being able to crow endlessly about being the president who got Osama.

Factoring out the craziest of the crazy, nobody in America was going to be unhappy with the killing of Osama. Would that Bill Clinton had made the same political calculation.

For Obama, this was strictly a political decision. He doesn’t make any other kind.

And *those* are the facts on the ground. What is rendering the decision worthless, imo, is the fact that the narrative is constantly changing in the details, which is quickly eroding any possible political benefit, and further cementing BHO's 'reputation' of being less than a straight shooter...

“Getting Osama: Low Risk, High Reward”

Low risk AND low effort... THAT was all done earlier or by others.

ALL ‘O’ did was keep his stupid, biased a#@ out of the way for once!

We now have a Dictatorship in dc and a corrupt press and a willing government of communists, racists and idiots to keep him in power and keep the illusion of popularity propagated.

You know, I think you’d need to look long and hard to find someone who hates the philosophy (Marxism) and policies of Obama more than I do. But still, I will give him credit for ORDERING the action to go through. No, he didn’t rapell out of the helicopters. But he DID give the order to begin a military action on the sovereign soil of a so-called “ally” in the “War on Terror,” a country which is, btw, a nuclear power. He did so without the permission of that country, and without notifying the leadership of that country in advance. If things would have gone bad, it would have been an international incident, possibly enough for Pakistan to (mistakenly) attack India. It could have gotten really ugly, really fast.

The guy did a good job, and I won’t say otherwise.
