Final remarks by Geert Wilders at his trial in Amsterdam

"Mr. President, members of the court, stop this unfair, political trial. Respect our Dutch freedoms."

Mister President, members of the Court. I recently tried to have Your Honors removed from the case for your refusal to register a statement of perjury against Mr. Hendriks. My challenge of the court did not succeed. I must accept that. I do wish to say, however, that I was more annoyed by another declaration of the President of the Court on the day of the official hearing of Mr. Jansen. He said that I was a free man, that I could not be compared to Mr. Nekschot because I was a free man.

Mister President, you could not be more wrong. For almost seven years now, I have not been a free man.

Gert is doomed. What do you expect from a loser country that thinks wood make an excellent material for footwear.

Thank God for the Bill of Rights.

That said, we'll have to physically fight for it.

Eloquent and to the point. However, these are the descendants of those who sent Anne Frank and most of her family to the death camps and gas chambers of the Nazis.

How quickly they forget, on purpose.

Well, to their credit, it is also the country that produced Anne Frank.

When you one is digging canals that are half flooded with mud, it's handy to have shoes that float. That's why they were made of wood, not because they made good street shoes. The Dutch celebrate and honor that labor by wearing those obviously uncomfortable shoes.

Holland is a country that is the product of enormous and arduous labor performed by a people in search of religious freedom. So don't go denigrating that heritage with such appalling ignorance and you'll avoid being shown for a fool.

Geert Wilder’s battle today.... our battle tomorrow... with “hate crime” laws and Islamofascist/Sharia pockets already in place in the United States, the future is near.

Free Speech... the last days of...

The 19th century black American politician Frederick Douglass, the son of a slave, put it as follows: “To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker.”

...I end with a quote of George Washington, who said: “If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”

How quickly they forget, on purpose.

The reason the Jews were there is that the Dutch gave them refuge from the Spanish Inquisition. How quickly they forget, on purpose.

Oh, and I lost two Jewish members of my family in Holland in the Holocaust. So don't go there. Holland has had a long history of religious tolerance and respect. It has unfortunately become their undoing.

Mister President, you could not be more wrong. For almost seven years now, I have not been a free man. I lost my freedom in 2004. I live as a prisoner with guards without you having convicted me. Without protection I am even less certain of my life than I am now. Mister President, you would not use the words “free man” if you could change places with me for one week.

Sounds like a swell place. I see lots of religious freedom going on there right now. Unfortunately it is by the muslim extremists. I guess Theo Van Gogh's head was almost decapitated by the fall off the bike since the place is such a shining beacon. Maybe if they took time to look out of the ditches they are digging, they may notice that they have lost their "celebrated" country.

Holland is a country that is the product of enormous and arduous labor performed by a people in search of religious freedom.

Thank God for all that arduous work. Where would I get my Tulip bulbs in spring. Being an American, I see no problem making fun a country that is putting Gert on trial for BS and wears Clogs. Thankfully I have that freedom here unlike the Dutch.

I’ll go there. Haven’t finished up the body count from my grandmother’s family from Lemberg/Lvov/Lviv. They died in Lemberg, Belzec concentration camp, and Auschwitz.

I thought we had lost 60-80 (her brothers & sisters, and their children - families were often 6-8 each x 8, and first cousins, etc. Should reach over 100 when we finish our family tree.

I had Jewish friends flee from Holland during the war.

There was no organized resistance there or even in Belgium, for many reasons. Some Dutch were decent people and saved Jews. Others betrayed them.

It is the bastards, anti-semites and cowards who will kill you, not the decent people, but dead is dead, esp. if it was preventable as in the Anne Frank case.

You can be “tolerant” in one period of time, and “intolerant” in another. Or you can, as Martin Niemoller said, remain silent until they come for you. But “dead is still dead”. There is no second chance.

Stories such as yours should make all take notice. We are headed into very bad times I’m afraid, and we don’t have the family or cultural unity to help us fight against evil. Prayers for the peaceful rest of those lost in your family in the atrocity of Holocaust.

Thank God for all that arduous work.

You'd better. Had the people of Holland not fought the Spanish, the Armada would have been able to gather its army for the invasion of England. History would have been quite different.

Amen - and in the early 1600’s, they gave my ancestors refuge from England - to worship freely.

they have always been centuries ahead in the ‘field’ of freedoms.

And now that’ being turned on it's head. We'd best take heed.

For those who haven't listened to his speech warning AMERICANS of what was coming - the speech that got him in hot water - you really aught to.

and other other links: his testimony a few months ago - really important a

and the last link, another Member of Parliament, this time in Austria, really going off on the Turkish ambassador - and he really gets wound up. This will do your heart good -

part 2 is there also.

his testimony “The Lights Are Going Out All Over Europe “

the Austrian MP

This just makes me smile every time I watch it...but we need to listen seriously to these clips. It's happening in Canada - and it WILL happen here.

There was no organized resistance there or even in Belgium, for many reasons.

Topography, population density, and the fact that the occupation was under the SS as opposed to the Wehrmacht among them. Nor did Holland expect NAZI invasion in the first place, as they had held strict neutrality with Germany in WWI and thus had no advance preparation as there was in France.

Still, your statement is not factual. There was an organized Dutch resistance during WWII.

The plaque commemorates 100 Dutch resistance who were executed by the SS in one event. At one time during the war they sheltered 300,000 people in secret. Their intelligence contributions to the Allied invasion and particularly Operation Market Garden were not small.

As to the Jews, harboring them in Holland was more difficult than elsewhere as there were official lists of citizens by religion for tax purposes prior to the war. That made them exceedingly difficult and dangerous to hide.

Anne Frank’s long form birth certificate is in Frankfurt, Germany - where she was born. Her family moved to the Nederlands when she was 4yrs old.

I have been to the Anne Frank museum. Very humbling experience. The Anne Frank Virtual Tree is touching.

http://www.annefrank.org/en/Subsites/AnneFrankTree/

Incredible that a supposedly civilized country would be conducting a witch trial on Geert Wilders. A while back an Austrian farmer was fined $800 euros for yodeling which offended some Muslim. He felt the farmer was mocking his Call to Prayer - the one that Obama remembers as the sweetest sound on earth.

It’s ok now to stop immigrants at border crossings as France is doing ( Shengen Agreement violation), and it’s ok for France to ban the burka, but one dare not utter ‘hate’ words.
Note my tagline.

I pray for Geert Wilder’s safety. I am sure most Nederlanders do not support these judges and the inquisition of this good and prophetic man.
