Slandering Our Military

Are you sick of seeing our troops and veterans slandered? Are you tired of hearing them called "unstable"? Are you annoyed by claims of their supposedly high rates of homicide and other violent crimes? I am.

Read "An Obscene Bid to Smear Our Veterans" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, USA (Ret.), a former Ranger and widely published psychologist. Unlike the slander-mongers, he knows what he is talking about.

And let us never, ever forget Ron Paul’s slander against our troops in the 90 - 91 war.

Last weekend, Bing West had an article in the Wall Street Journal about 3rd Bn./5th Marines. Good report on our Marines in Afghanistan. However, if you went to the ‘Comments’ section of the on-line article, one so-called American named ‘Linda Bendel’ had some of the most vile things to say about our troops, as if they were free-lancing to get their jollies.

The ironic thing is this Linda Bendel used a photo of Catherine Deneuve as her profile pic. I would bet you that old Linda looks nothing like Madame Deneuve, pre- or post-Botox.

Sadly, it is not difficult to find people in the mental health community to support the thesis that anyone who kills, experiences combat, or witnesses violence (or any other fill-in-the-blank 'victim du jour') is doomed to lifelong PTSD and, consequently, needs lifelong mental health care.

They have poor understanding of those who have made sacrifices for liberty. What they don't understand becomes a liability for those heroes. There are many in mental health care that would like to return to the old days of locking people up and now they see possibilities in Obamacare that would make that happen. Those that are locked way and sedated will have a difficult time of defending liberty once again.

Read “Stolen Valor” (this used to be my tagline) It will
give you a great deal of insight into the ongoing slander
of our brave military.

In 93 I attended a Psych club sponsored “talk” by a self proclaimed homosexual activist(an educator from the Peoples Republic of boulder)who made the wild claim that passage of Amendment #2 in Colorado caused the “gay community”to suffer PTSD.She diagnosed herself as having PTSD. and told the room full of lib-walkers that she suffered just like combat troops.Said she took trips to Germany to study how treatment of the Jews by the Germans could be used by American homosexuals—and said she had taken trips down South to study how American treated blacks as slaves and how that could be used. I was the lone stranger in the group.A former Army Medic diagnosed by the VA(not by myself) as bipolar-with a seizure disorder.(same family as PTSD) I have known multiple tour Vets some with PTSD-Some with Alcohol/ drug abuse issues. Most just normal folk who did a job and came home.I know more about combat and PTSD than that lesbian -or any of those lib-walkers in that room did.
And I gotta say YOU NAILED IT-but were far kinder than I saying they have a poor understanding...
