Is impeachment and removal from office the maximum punishment for POTUS? Or can he be arrested and charged with a crime after removal?
Well, if he’s proven constitutionally ineligible for office, then in my mind he never WAS president to begin with. So go ahead and charge him just like you would any bit of run-o’-the mill criminal filth.
Yes he can be charged. Impeachment is only the process for removing him from office for a crime committed. But he will stand for his crimes.
High crimes and misdemeanors.
I really do not know how this will go down. This is a criminal case of the highest degree. I think, think, that the SCOTUS will order him removed from office. The two justices put in by and under Obama will have to step aside. So 7 will be the number of the supreme court on this case.
Removal from office and banning from further federal office is all that the Senate can do. But it is possible (under explicit constitutional language) to indict, try and convict the removed for the crimes which led to the impeachment and removal.

If impeached by Congress, and found guilty, POTUS leaves office and is just another criminal.
