A very forceful interview on fiscal matters. Gov Palin is leading once again.

I don’t say she’s perfect. But I say she’s close.

I watched it this morning. I thought the interview was great. When she called out Social Security as a ponzi scheme, I was excited that somebody loudly said it. So long as “Social Security” exists we’ll have neither Freedom, nor security. It’s a millstone around our country’s neck in more ways than one.

End socialism, and end it NOW!

No she's not! Did she offer any pearls of wisdom about how in the hell we're going to get Ryan's budget passed wihile the GOP remains the minority party in DC? Anyone with half a brain knows that the 2010 election was merely step one in a 2 election cycle. It's goign to be damned near impossible to even open this budget to floor debate in the Senate, let alone something even more robust.

As far as I'm concerned Palin's comments were unserious political posturing...pablum for the very small population of her supporters.

I watched it last night and it’s great re-reading it again here because she was JUST GREAT.

New day, same Sarah.

I love it and that’s makes her more serious than the other jokers who rely on their precious inside the beltway advisers tell them:

“don’t go too far, play for the precious independents and moderates, it may be right to deal with entitlements but we don’t know how to argue for it the right way, dont rock the boat!

Equally important, listen to what the MSM is reporting about the budget deal. Obama and Reid are being painted as weaklings who held 2/3 control and gave in when they didn’t have to. Palin is right that it will take too long, but it’s the start of a process that can always go faster *IF* we continue to win elections and *IF* our leaders have the same, ahem “fortitude” that she displays. The MSM is unwittingly helping by jumping on the left as being ineffective, and whether it’s Palin or someone else that rises to fill the gap, it will be a huge step in the right direction.

Disagree? Then tell me, had we not won control of the House last Nov., would we even be having this conversation? Or would madame Pelosi be stepping off her private USAF jet to announce yet more tax-and-spend country-killing deals?

One step at a time. It’s the only way.

The GOP has a long history of observing that we have a $2T annual deficit. They then propose that we trim $500B from that annual deficit. Then they negotiate a $70B cut from the budget. And declare victory when they succeed in getting $30B cut.

Palin is at least honest in saying that the problem is bigger than they want to admit and that their proposals are insufficient.

I don't know how to do what we need to do. I do not yet know if Palin knows how to do what we need to do.

But Palin does understand the problem. Not many do.

hell she is the only one that endorsed Ryan’s roadmap in the first place. She could have stopped there since she was the most fiscal conservative at that stage. But no, she went further, she made it impossible for any other candidate to get to her right on fiscal issues. And she has the record to prove it. Palin gets elected and EVERYTHING is on the table.

Exactly right. I knew of Sarah before 08, she is much more intelligent than most believe.

Unserious? So finally saying that we have to put everything on the table including entitlements is being unserious?

She is telling it like it is, what needs to be done, obviously your Mitts and Newrs if the world must be serious since they didn’t say it! Sheesh!

she also cut governor’s spending by 80% over the previous governor. Makes you wonder what the previous AK gov was doing with 80% more on himself

Well you notice she says she supports Ryan’s budget. She WISHES it had more cuts and handled them quicker. She is understanding realities but also setting the bar higher. She would make a good horse trader.

“End socialism, and end it NOW!”

I like that as a theme! or just End Socialism Now.

We have got to start calling it like it is. We are NOT living in a free country. We are living in a socialist soft tyranny. When a middle class family with an income of 100k loses an effective 40% every year to taxes that is NOT freedom that is slavery to the government.

Palin is showing the guts to call it like it is no matter how unsettling the truth may be.

If you agree with Palin that Paul Ryan's budget proposal could be improved, click here to read the 2012 budget proposal put forth by Sen. Rand Paul.

No longer "the party of No" or the party "with no ideas of it's own".
