Beck says:

“If you don't believe he has a birth certificate, you can say ‘I don't believe he has a birth certificate.’”

Beck affirms that it is perfectly OK with him for Trump to say that Obama doesn't have a birth certificate if that is what Trump believes.

Beck's objection and mockery of Trump was regarding Trump's sloppy research in suggesting that Obama’s BC might say he was born a Muslim. As all FReepers know who have been following this issue, there is no religion field on the Long Form, which even the London Daily Mail was able to point out IIRC.

Trump undermined his credibility and seriousness on the issue by failing to do his homework or alternatively, it Trump knows there is no religion field on the BC, he was just being provocative to get attention, which is what both Beck and O’Reilly were pointing out as being counterproductive and undermining of the GOP. Do your homework, Trump!

What is most significant to me is that neither Beck nor O’Reilly slammed Trump for stating a belief that Obama did not have a BC, and neither one said “Obama already released it” or “The newspaper announcement prove he was born in HI”.

Again, Beck said “If you don't believe he has a birth certificate, you can say ‘I don't believe he has a birth certificate.’” O’Reilly said it was would be good for Trump to get in the race to shake things up.

Since O’Reilly wasn't referring to the “Muslim” suggestion by Trump, O’Reilly can only be expressing his actual approval of Trump raising questions about Obama’s failure to produce a 1961 BC, IMO.

I agree with your assessment. When O’Reilly said Beck would be on to talk about Trump, I thought uh oh. Beck is screwed. O’Reilly is carrying water for Obama and looks to be chosen to discredit Trump, and he can USE Beck to his ends. BUT, one day later, O’Reilly had pulled back several notches. He didn't crush Beck using the birther issue as I expected he would. It looked as if O’Reilly got the message to lay off Trump. Beck was in a no win situation. Given that, he did the best he could stuck with his beliefs. I think Beck has gotten the message, to at least leave the birther issue alone. Here, he had no choice but to comment.

I think Beck came so close to destroying his career on the “FEMA trains” that he is terrified of being on the wrong side of the birther issue. He has decided that 911 Truthers, FEMA trainers, and Birthers are all the same, move along. He can be pig headed or bull headed (choose your favorite farm animal) and is being so to the extreme on the Birther issue. I don't excuse it, but we can all be wrong sometimes. He is making a HUGE mistake here and it is hurting his ratings. He should just STFU when it comes to birthers until he wakes up.

Oh wow, that’s a good point. Ok, I must admit I’m now vacillating in my support for Mr. Trump.

Then Beck is not completely listening to Trump. Trump also says that Obama could be hiding Muslim is stated on his birth certificate, but he does not believe that is the case.

Oh for crying out loud. Screw all that splitting of hairs and semantics, and screw Glenn Beck. Trump has the guts to stand up and say something that Beck won't touch with a ten foot pole, and now he wants to criticize him for saying it the wrong way?

Beck, Mr. Constitution-lover himself, has been notably quiet about the Obama eligibility issue from the very beginning, and now that someone else has dared to stand up in public and challenge Obama on it, Beck fails the ultimate test, by NOT supporting that individual.

I'm done with Beck. If he doesn't see that this one thing is the very linchpin of the Obama disaster, then he isn't what he purports to be, and is little more than an entertainer.
