For nine days Senator Robert Wirch has been living in Illinois not Wisconsin. The Taxpayers to Recall Robert From the website:

“Wirch supports the efforts of Illinois Representative Mike Tryon to have Senator Wirch declared an Illinois resident. “That would save us all a lot of effort,” says Dan Hunt, chairman of the group, “If he is declared an Illinois resident we won’t have to go through with the recall. Instead, we would have a special election to replace him. That would save us all a lot of time, money and resources that would be better used for the benefit of our families.”

So, can they do that? Cool idea, but it sounds like a long-shot to me.

Actually, I am surprised that some Dem “genius” hasn’t started a recall petition on the Wisconsin governor. Didn’t the Republicans do that to Calif. gov. Gray Davis, a Dem?
