See This At Tea Party? Walker As Hitler
Ohio has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs as well as population in the past ten years as Ohioans trek onward to greener pastures -like Texas - to find employment. Thousands of college grads now work in restaurants and bars, and may never need show their college diplomas again to a prospective employer.
And why shouldn't Ohio lose manufacturing jobs to other states? President Obama was backed by the very powerful unions, both public and private, over Hilary Clinton who did not appear to be as pro union and did not deliver those exaggerated promises that Barack Obama promised to all those who would vote for him in 2008.
And, President Obama has delivered billions of dollars to the unions for their support through stimulus packages, bank bailouts, and automotive union saving. AFL-CIO boss Richard Trumka has either talked to or vistited the White House every day of the week, canoodling with the Prez.
Just as much as Barack has had a loving relationship with unions, so he has hated Energy (except solar and wind). After all, during the campaign Obama did promise to "bankrupt coal," cause the price of energy to "skyrocket," and heavily tax "carbon units," whatever that may be. Taxing exhaled carbon dioxide?
The unions, public and private, had been a thorn bush to Ohio development even before Obama appeared. Ohio, due to the excessive strength of unions, has not been chosen by many outside manufacturers as a place to setup business because of the strong unions - and high taxes which accompany strong union states. Thus, we are noted to be among national and international investors as a "No Right To Work State."
Crime and poverty has taken over our major Democrat-run cities which survive on the local, state, and federal giveout programs, which naturally encourage and increase the percentage of those living in poverty (25% and above) to abide in said depressed cities, as the industrious, and conscientious citizens move out. Ie., Rush Limbaugh fleeing to Florida from New York State. See pictures and videos of bombed-out, decaying Detroit here.
Ohio, Wisconsin and other states are on the precipice of bankruptcy, and unions are still demanding wages and benefits, the neither George Meany or FDR would request. "They are going to kill off unions," and "We will starve to death," are the cries of Wisconsin teachers making in excess of $100,000 a year as they lead their public school students, who they encouraged to play hooky, through the streets of Madison, after getting fake doctor's excuses from real doctors.
Universtiy of Wisconsin-Madison college students join the brigade of union thugs carrying "Walker Is Hitler" signs, not realizing that their tax-paying parents are paying for over priced college profs, who enticed their kid lemming students to paint their faces and protest a system that increases their tuition every year.
Union sympathizer Congressman Mike Capuano tells unions to "get bloody," while the Lamestream media ignores the un TeaParty-like ritzy, overpaid protesters compare Republicans to Hitler and other socialist dictators. The union communists never seem to equate us with Joseph Stalin - their "Man of Steel."
Twenty percent (probably more) Americans who are un or under employed would work for half of what the federal and state employees are making, and probably one-fourth of what school teachers are hauling in - and do a better job of instructing our out of control, under performing young minds of mush. Made into mush by union-pushed, new age schooling techniques and little or no real discipline.
Hillary not as pro union, is like saying Lenin was not as pro communist as Marx.
I lost my job as a direct result of school’s lack of funding. Funding for their salaries mind you over any tangible assets which we sold. I would gladly take half of their salary over UI.
“...in the past ten years as Ohioans trek onward to greener pastures -like Texas - to find employment.”
They should stay along with other vermin in blue states like NJ, NY, MA, CA and other hell holes.
I've got friends who are teachers in Illinois & other states & they are not making anywhere near $50,000 let alone in excess of $100,000!!!! What a huge RIP OFF!
I teach for a private, non-profit university and I am nowhere close to 100K. During my 22+ year military career I did not get close to that amount nor did I get close working 9 years for a private company between the military and my current position.
The 20% is way too low. I know many unemployed both recently and long term unemployed who would love to find a position for a third of that, just to be working.
Screw them all and let the layoffs begin. The taxpayer is no longer willing to be slaves to maintain your lifestyles.
I look for colledge profs pay to go down along w/ teachers and othr leeches.
Thay can all go to California and worship the sun god.
You know it, and I know it. Now we need to make them know it. Articles like this go a long way, but only if they read them. Someone sympathetic to them (not me!) needs to tell them the truth (for a change) and let them know that the money tree has been picked clean and there ain't no more.
My sister in law teaches in Mentor, OH A Lilly white suburb East of Cleveland, She makes $82,000 a year. Their benefits package is close to $50,000 per year.
Teachers are GROTESQUELY over paid. They must have their wings clipped, we can no longer afford this insanity.
They are too arrogant and/or stupid to realize that they have overplayed their hand. They think they can intimidate and shout down their opposition and that will not work much longer. They are lunging headlong into an open revolt by taxpayers and whatever form that might take. The unions, especially the public unions are going to find themselves at the point of the sword so to speak.
Well, Mormonism has its own links to Leninism and Marxism...so says a Mormon author below (George W. Givens)...See especially the "bold-face" below:
Here's what Lds prophet Taylor said about the "United Order" communism of late 19th century Utah in Orderville: "We had NO EXAMPLE OF THE 'UNITED ORDER' IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WORD OF GOD ON THE SUBJECT... (Lds author George W. Givens, 500 More Little-Known Facts in Mormon History, p. 169)
Taylor was the third Lds "prophet." He realized no scriptural basis for United Orders & dismantled the one in Orderville (he also cited other reasons such as "Our relations with the world and our own imperfections prevent the establishment of this system at the present time, as was stated by Joseph in an early day, it cannot yet be carried out."
Lorenzo Snow, before becoming an Lds "prophet" in 1898, founded the United Order community of Brigham City.
A Utopian author (Bellamy) then visited Brigham City in 1886. It reinforces his ideas in his book.
Lenin gets ahold of his book; and further injected utopian Marxism into Soviet Russia.
In the interim (back in Utah), a ballad crops up about Orderville after it appears that one of the sons of the Lds presiding elder of that town (Alvin Heaton), murders a pregnant girl (Mary Steavens) he refused to marry in 1890. Apparently, he was convicted & sent to prison. (see Givens, p. 190)
(So much for Mormon "Utopia")
Yup...and here the United Order was supposed to be "everlasting," was it not? That was Joseph Smith's "revelations" in
Even George Givens, a Mormon author, described Brigham Youngs communist-built community of Orderville, Utah as pure communism: "When Brigham Young established Orderville and similar United Orders, John Taylor was less than enthusiastic. He realized that enterprises such as Orderville were pure communism and not the law of consecration. He made this plain after he became President, when in 1882 he sent an epistle to all authorities of the Church in which he bluntly stated: 'We had no example of the 'United Order' in accordance with the word of God on the subject...Our relations with the world and our own imperfections prevent the establishment of this system [i.e. the system of consecration and stewardship spoken of at times as the 'United Order'] at the present time, as was stated by Joseph in an early day, it cannot yet be carried out.'" (George W. Givens, 500 More Little-Known Facts in Mormon History, 2004, p. 169)
The truly unfortunate thing for world history is that John Taylor didnt go far enough, for while he dismantled Orderville, he left another United Order community (Brigham City, Utah) alone.
Here is Givens again (a faithful Mormon author):
"One of the most famous utopian books ever written was Looking Backward by Edward Bellamy, published in 1889. Some scholars believe Looking Backward had considerable influence in the making of Lenin's Soviet Russia. If this is true, then [ensuing Lds "prophet"] Lorenzo Snow and the Latter-day Saints must receive some of the credit--or blame. Hearing of the success of the United Order in Brigham City, Edward Bellamy made a special trip to Utah in 1886 to study its operation. There he spent three days with Lorenzo Snow, Brigham City's founder and forty-year resident. Impressed with the thirty to forty industries run by its 2,000 inhabitants and the vitality at that time of one of the most successful United Orders, Bellamy returned home and wrote his influential book." (500 More Little-Known Facts in Mormon History, p. 185).
Way to go, 19th century Mormon leader-prophets of Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor & Lorenzo Snow!!! They all unwittingly fueled Soviet Communism!
It was
Smiths original idea of a United Order, something he falsely prophesied would be everlasting- see Doctrine & Covenants 82:20; 104:1 I mean you havent taken scissors to those verses yet, have you Rip? So that must mean you still embrace these concepts as Mormon truth
followed by Youngs implementation of these communistic ideas into Utah communities like Orderville & Brigham City
with Lds prophet Snow being the founder & long-term dictator of Brigham City, which in turn, influenced Bellamy, who in turn influenced Lenin!!!
and while Taylor didnt like the orders, he only did a half-mast job of taking apart Orderville, but leaving Brigham City untouched.
You must not be very popular around the family dinner table. :)
And I agree wholeheartedly.
