In 2005s Egyptian parliamentary elections the Muslim Brotherhood ran candidates officially called Independents who won 20% of the seats. The Brotherhood has been unofficially involved in Egyptian politics since 1980.
Emboldened ... protestors filling Cairos streets the Brotherhood has taken the next logical step in the fulfillment of its dream to Islamize the entire world. It has announced it will apply for recognition ... formal political party.
Those unfamiliar with the aims of the Brotherhood have to consider its motto and the obvious implications it holds for Egypt and ultimately the world. The Brotherhood operates solely by these words to achieve its goals: Allah is our objective; The Prophet is our leader; Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; and dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.
Playing rope a dope with the western media
The Brotherhood, as all forms of organized Islam, is very patient and focuses on long term goals. They are very cunning. They are westernized enough to realize that by appearing moderate and keeping their motto out of western eyes they can get the useful idiots in the western media to make them look like Jeffersonian democrats.
A typical example of this foolishness comes from a blog maintained by the University of Wisconsin at Madison (UWM) (where else?).
A UWM Law professor characterized talking about the dangers of a Muslim Brotherhood run Egypt as, hysterical fear mongering and the possibility of Egypt going to war with Israel wildly implausible.
Prediction
the New York Times and the rest of the American media will work overtime spraying perfume on a group whose goal is the death of the Western Christian/Judeo way of life.

Would you PLEASE tell me when the Media became “useful”? Also, I would like to know when these knobs elevated themselves to “idiot” status.
I am truly curious.
Them Egyptians are funny..... they were protesting for freedom , jobs , liberty and rights all products of western Christian living. Instead, what did they get? A solid theocracy, a major step backwards into the 7th century.
How will they achieve advancement?
The only thing Jeffersonian about these swine is their willingness to keep slaves
Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam And the American Left [Paperback]
****************EXCERPT ********************************
Vastly Illuminating, September 25, 2004>
I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.
