Yes and the election of 2010 reflects that attitude of most of the nation.
Nah, why mess with the Constitution? We already have impeachment.
He should get the opportunity to show his birth certificate or resign, no questions asked.. sans pension, SS protection and exile to some small base off the coast of Cuba
As bad as he is I’d hate to see the US revert to parliamentary type of government as they have in Europe. Every time you turn around they’re having another election. Then too, the VP would move up. Do you really want Biden as president?
IF there’s still a Constituiton in two years.
NO. We brought this on ourselves, one person didn’t do it. We should start by encouraging people to get back into church, then go from there.
I agree 100%.
I’m still waiting for just ONE member of the GOP to challenge his authority. So far not one has had the balls to do so.
I also weep for our country every day that the usurper is in office. His goal is, without question, to destroy all that is good about America.

No.
An official way for the states to nullify might redress the current imbalance between the states and the federal system.
Of course not. The presidency is too much of a popularity contest (and too poll-driven) already. We need future presidents to have the freedom to do things that are unpopular at the time, as Lincoln, Reagan, and GW Bush did. Not every president is a disaster like Obama.
An official way for the states to nullify might redress the current imbalance between the states and the federal system.
A far better solution, I concur...

In the meantime, we need to elect a veto proof conservative Congress and Senate. Maybe the nation needs to collapse into total chaos to get the American people to realize that Obama cannot be re-elected in 2012.
One of the things that makes the USA so stable is that we have a set time for elections, set terms of office and set powers for the elected.
You start making things depending on the whim of what the country feels at the moment then you undermine that stability.
Yes, yes, yes, a parliamentary system with the POTUS as a figurehead, a pretty face, and an executive prime minister, who can be canned at any time along with his cabinet. What we’ve got is an American King George, an utterly archaic system, when 200 some years later other countries have developed constitutions based on our bad experiences.
What is really heartbreaking is that the Communists, who call themselves Progressives and some other benign labels, have figured out our system and how to subvert it.
With all that, your “should” question and my opinion and the flames I’m provoking are totally meaningless, as the chance of a meaningful change and reform in any area (say, taxation, Social Security) in this country is and will remain below zero Fahrenheit!
And I’m an optimist.

O-FAIL, which stands for Obama Financial Anxiety Index Level. O-FAIL takes all of the world’s instability, hysteria, currency woes, fears of energy disruption, terrorism and war — and encapsulates them into a single, easy-to-understand number.
(Number hasn’t been this high since James Carter was President.)
No thanks. Parliamentary democracies are a mockery of government. Italy has had tons of elections since 1945; various others can only form coalitions for short periods in order to govern. I prefer the stability of our constitutional republic with its defined positions, elections, even in its currently degraded state.
