Could it be that there is no long form birth certificate at all?
That’s what Gov Neil Abercrombie says.
The HDOH has indirectly confirmed that Obama’s BC was amended in 2006.
The only way we’re gonna know what’s really there - and why these people have made the statements they did - is through a legal investigation. Which there should have been a long, long time ago, if we had any law enforcement in this country.
It is quite true that the birth announcements in the HI papers around the time of Obama’s birth could have easily been placed there by his grandparents in an effort to aid Ann Dunham. So much of this story wreaks - but mostly what wreaks is the inattention of the American press (what a joke) and public (American Idol anyone?) to Article II, Section 1 POTUS requirements of the USC.
Unfortunately Sarah Palin seems to be among the crowd that has now decided to denounce the ‘birthers’ as we're derisively called, and which banner I wear proudly in defense of the historic and unmatched United States Constitution. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/02/sarah-palins-smart-move/71432/ With all due respect, perhaps Gov. Palin has some electioneering to consider, but I don't. Gov. Palin - the birther issue is a distraction precisely because people are NOT willing to stand up for the USC, the rule of law, et al.
In any case, and as a practical matter, we birthers did indeed prevail in our desires to body check the quite possible illegitimate president of our beloved country, but opposing him vigorously and tirelessly before during and after the recent historic mid-term pounding.
Like it or not, the ‘birther’ questions, which have never, EVER been adequately answered by Obama’s camp, or supporters, have contributed to his derailing.
May the rule of law, and our own United States Constitution prevail in these uncertain times, and may Gov. Palin, should she ever become President, understand that supporting such is not a matter for political expediency and that doing so is not a distraction.
