I wouldn't call it abuse as it was a consensual relationship. But you're right... the silence from NOW and other liberal feminazi advocacy groups was literally deafening when this happened.
If I remember correctly, this event was what pushed Tammy Bruce to quit her association with these types of organizations, because they literally gave Bill Clinton a pass because they were aligned with him politically.
They're far more adept at flicking their moistened tongues at low-hanging fruit, and that's saying typically more than a mouthful.

I said that exact thing to my husband last night but added “and some things that women should not do”.
If she’s backing UP an inclined driveway, one can imagine her passing out and BMW rolling back into garage. Alternatively, since no one saw her backing out of the garage in the first place (I’m assuming that any allusion to backing up the driveway by the reporter was based on some sort of evidence in the driveway indicating the car had gotten that far, but it also could just be pure speculation), maybe Turton herself, for whatever foggy reason (we can’t attribute much rationality to someone who is drunk) decided herself to drive back into the garage slowly (maybe she forgot something in the house).
What we do know is that the car was found at an odd angle, suggesting that it did not move into that position under the control of a conscious rational driver.
There apparently were flammable items in the workbench area, so all that was required was a spark to set them off.
When there’s a drunk driver operating a heavy vehicle around flammable materials, I don’t need a conspiracy theory to “explain” what might have happened.
