Not everything is as it seems in Politics. Sometimes as with John McCain, the weakest person is who they talk about the most. As with so many things in the public eye, there is no such thing as bad press, the point is to keep a given person in the public eye.

Now that can go either way with regard to Sarah. However, the things that gives me the most hope is that the coverage tents to be negative, BUT... a lot of what was said about McCain early in the primaries AFTER the press started subtly pushing him was negative.

So, it is either they consider he the strongest candidate therefore she must be destroyed - in which case NOT reporting about her is the best thing to do. Make her invisible. Keep her name out of the public eye, and minimize her by making her seem irrelevant.

Or they think she is the weakest and liberals/democrats stand the best chance of winning another 4 years against her than any other possible candidate. In which case, keep her as high a profile as possible keep her name fresh with press coverage, and it doesn’t matter if it is positive or negative.

What we do not know is how strong a contender the MSM and Democrat insiders think she is. I am more or less asking if anyone knows what THEY think.

I am not that interested in your opinion, I already know what that is. I am interested in knowing the strategy behind those keeping her name in the public eye. THAT is something less than obvious, and is NOT always what it seems to be. Mostly because their point is to keep the public confused enough to follow their lead. Savvy?

You didn’t offend me, you just came across offensivly, and it was more than a little unnecessary considering we are on the same side.

Trust me, I am NOT knocking Sarah. Not at all.

I have read too much on the art of war, and the manupulative means to gaining attaining and dispensing power to believe what I see on the surface of things. There is always another layer to it.

So if you want to continue to be such a turn off, thats up to you, but we ARE on the same side.

You see, you cannot effectively counter your opponent unless you know what they are doing, and even better, know WHY they are doing it. Then you can effectively come up with a counter that will nullify them. Are you catching my drift here dude? If Sarah is going to win POTUS, assuming she runs, then she is going to have to effectively court middle America. She already has the support of her base, us. Thats obvious. The MSM has better access to that middle population - and they are not on Sarah’s side. Therefore it behooves us to know what they are doing and why. That is called intelligent. That way we can USE it rather than being pawns of it.

Sorry you and I got off on a bad footing, but try taking another look ok? We are on the same side.

You’re right and I do apologize. I was in the middle of arguing with a couple of anti-Palin liars and it put me in kind of a strident mood.

I appreciate what you’re saying and agree with you. It just seems obvious to me it’s Governor Palin they have been trying to destroy for over two years, but I could be wrong about it.

Thats why I want to be as aware as possible with regard to what the opposition is doing and why.

So often in politics what appears on the surface is something else entirely. I don’t trust too much anymore.

I just know in 20-20 hindsight that the press bucked up McCain early in the primaries when it literally looked like he was just a couple weeks from dropping out, because that is who Obama and his advisors prefered to run against. And we know how that turned out.

So I don’t trust the media. I am NOT comfortable with the attention they give her, or the way they dole it out, and that concerns me, because I worry that they consider her the weakest in the field. Well if that is the case I want to know WHY they think she is the weakest and change that, use it to her/our advantage.

4 more years of Democrat rule is NOT an option. America can’t afford for us to get it wrong again. We must be more aware and not take things at face vaule.

I know the media hates her, but I also stop and wonder why they promote her if they hate her.... because the smart thing to do if they hate her is to not report on her. Just look at the amount and level of attention they have paid to the constitutional issue of Obama’s citizenship status, they ignore it, won’t report on it, and mock it when they do.

Trust nothing... really we have to look beneath the surface of everything if we want to win, and I want to win.

And that’s a very good point. It just needs to be condensed and clarified so that it gets the point across quickly and powerfully.

WRT polarizing, my take is this: What is meant by “polarizing?” It means only that a person of principle inspires opposition to the leftist agenda. That’s all. It is a bad thing only from the perspective of the left, and no one should have the slightest concern for their perspective. When a RINO uses the term, it just means that he is in a snit because principled opposition is interfering with his attempts to give the leftists their way.

We should be working for *more* polarization, not less. We should be drawing a line in the sand: “Demonrats and other scum please move to the other side of that line.”

The demonrats well know that it is polarization that wins elections, which is why they both practice it and try to convince their enemies that it is a bad thing.
