I spoke to Senator Hutchison’s staff. She is co-chair of this committee.

1. McCarthy is a rep not a senator.

2. There are no amendments on this bill. The staffer said this bill is totally clean.

3. The staffer said there is no way this amendment would get on any bill as this particular sub committee is pretty good with delivering clean bills to the senate floor.
