He snorted with derision at "libertarians" who fail to recognize that "we don't have a health-care crisis in this country, but a health crisis." He spoke with passion and knowledge on the need for preventative care to bring down exorbitant costs. And then, without the least amount of prompting, he mustered a vigorous defense of Mrs. Obama's "Let's Move" campaign against childhood obesity. This was the "art of governing," he argued, rather than the cheap "science of campaigning."

In Huckabee's view, evidently, governing includes worrying about our children's weight and telling us what we might do to bring their weight into line with what the honorable governor thinks is correct. Why, do you suppose, is he so full of himself that he imagines his wisdom on child diets is superior to ours?
Most libertarians want drugs and abortion done freely.
Thanks so much for completely ignoring what I posted.
Hucky wants schools to teach that Jesus rode dinosaurs.
Come on, already...his legitimacy is nulled.
This is the main concern about any of the “known” republican candidates. The conviction that it is the government’s job to do any of this.
Deficit will not diminish until entitlements are removed entirely from the “business” of government.

As far as drugs, some drugs are legal, some are not. Adults should choose for themselves, as they do for cigarettes, alchohol, etc, and be responsible for their choices.
Personally, I'll stick to my caffine and nicotine and occasional beer, and let others use nefarious drugs like Nyquil, Sudafed, cocaine, etc.....

You’ve got to be careful. There are a lot of Freepers who want to control every aspect of everyone’s life, including what drugs they consume as a free agent. They’ll jump on you in a second.
/The Warchild drinks the best wine he can afford; how awful is that?
I agree with you.
I, too, have some libertarian(ish) views, but conservatives need to know that Mr. Huckabee is stretching conservatism all out of recognition by advocating government's intrusion into family decisions as simple as feeding the kids.

“Theyll jump on you in a second.”
You got right. Yep, they are really the same people as the Dems, they just disagree with Dems on abortion.
Most everything else they agree with, in that there is virtually nothing that the gov’t can’t/shouldn’t control or regulate.
Cheers!
Huckster snorts at victims of violent criminal, too. He snorting kinda guy.
These Rinos sit in that pup tent on the golf course just whacking away at unworthy voters with their clubs. They are soooooo smart and moderate!
Isn't he the loser who pardoned a felon who then murdered four police officers in Washington?!?
Who really cares about this has-been's opinion? Let him keep playing bad music on Fox News, at least it's a living...
Ow! You’re describing Freepers who spend a lot of time watching televangelists!
Note, though, that the one topic we can all agree on is abortion.
I submit that’s the only thing really keeping the “conservative” community together. We all agree that abortion is the murder of a human being.
Not all. Most have the good sense to shut their mouths about their pro death views since the boss laid down the law.
It's the same with Romneybots, they are still here, just keeping their mouths shut for now.
And Libertarians fart in Huckabee's general direction.
Then Mobama farts in his general direction too. Huckabee isn't doing much snorting now.
