I personally never thought it would happen. I mean the Left HATES and I mean HATES President Bush.
I mean he had the audacity to win an election after all and he was not even a Conservative, but Sarah Palin has now rocketed to that coveted position.
I am not going to spend a lot of time digging into the past but suffice it to say it has a lot of relevance. One such example I remember is the clothes “SCANDAL”. You might recall the McCain campaign bought thousands of dollars worth of clothes for Sarah because they didn’t like her “simple” wardrobe.
The Left went wild. They went into a feeding frenzy over it. Page after page, story after story, Sarah was pilloried over it.
Today’s equivalent is Michelle Obama wearing a $500.00 pair of shoes to a HOMELESS shelter.
Where was the outrage? (Insert sounds of crickets chirping)
But double standards are nothing new in politics. It happens on both sides of the political spectrum so why does the Left and some on the Right “HATE” Sarah?
Well the Left is easy. They wanted her DESTROYED. They wanted her bankrupted. They wanted her so thoroughly discredited that she would forever be the example of what happens should the simple folk think they could enter into the elite political realm.
You see this after the election. You expect to be attacked from every direction DURING the campaign but after you were defeated 99.9% of the time it’s over. John McCain was welcomed back with kisses and smiles, but with Sarah the attacks were just ramping up.
After the election an amazing 18 ethics complaints were filed against Sarah Palin. Before the election a total of ZERO had been filed. The cost to the State was just under a Million dollars the cost to the Palin’s was much more, both on a personal and financial level. The problem is so bad an independent reporter Joe McGinniss moved to Alaska to continue his harassment. He even moved next door so he could watch her 24/7.
And those ethics complaints? As of this writing not a single one is still active. All were found to be baseless attacks by the Progressive left.
The problem here was she just didn’t get crushed and go away. No instead she makes a decision to leave the Governorship and strike back and strike back she did.
You see I believe it is part of the frontier mentality of Alaskans to just not roll over and die. She started coming out speaking against the Progressive agenda, writing books and yes getting RICH, FILTHY RICH.
Ain’t America great?
You see this in and of itself is what makes the left go crazy whenever they see her or hear her speak.
She failed to realize that the Progressive elites crushed her. She is supposed to be in hiding never to be heard from again. Her “common” talk and “common” background drives them nuts. There is one thing they will never understand about her. She actually says what she thinks and means what she says. This is so unlike anything they are used to seeing from a politician that they fear it.
If you are Center Right you don’t have to agree with her but you do have to admire her tenacity in the midst of the 24/7 attacks from the Progressive meat grinding machine. Whatever you think she is. She is first and foremost an American Patriot. She loves America and she believes in the Constitution that made America great. Unlike the Progressive Left that feels like the Constitution is irrelevant now she stands up and fights for it.
She may not be the most articulate among us but aren’t you just a little tired of all those polished politicians with their measured sound bites saying whatever the group they are currently speaking to wants to hear?
I for one hope Sarah continues to rattles their cages. The Progressives believe they have the moral authority to tell us whom we shall vote for or even like.
I for one will keep my freedom of choice thank you.

I think she is pretty articulate. Less “ummms” and “uhhhs” than the most gifted speaker ever. I also give her credit for hanging in there in the face of such vitriol. I would have crawled away and hidden in a cave. She has spunk.
Yes!! I join you in cheering Sarah on because she is a bright, shining light for America. She is our bravest warrior for common sense Constitutional values in the face of the Progressive movement.
Go get ‘em, Sarah and keep “rattling their cages!”

I think you would be hard pressed to name a more inspirational convention speech by a conservative Republican for many many years. And that slaughtering she put on old Slow Joe (you don’t mind if I call you Joe, do ya?) sure was a good old fashioned ass whipping of a thirty year veteran of the biggest bullshitters club in the world. Is she articulate? You betcha...

During this time people watch a viewscreen with pictures of a man called Goldstein, the supposed head of the forces against Oceania. People scream and throw and yell at the guy.
It’s all about focusing hate onto a scapegoat.
Bush was Goldstein. Now Palin is Goldstein.

Speaking of the W, could he not have spoke up against the blamers during all of this? Other than Pawlenty can anyone name a GOP politician besides Palin who came out against this latest liberal witch-hunt? Remember, I’m talking about politicians not columnists. Maybe I’m forgetting but I can’t think of anyone. That’s actually scary. Orwellian even.

I don’t get the articulate argument either. I think GW Bush is a good speaker as well as Palin. They both speak genuinely from the heart. Clinton and Obama are horrible speakers imo, because they are as phony as a three dollar bill.
They hate her because they know she is the one person who can stop their progressive agenda from taking place. The media loved McCain, the left wanted McCain to win the nomination in 2008, why, because they knew that Obama could easily beat him, but here comes Sarah Palin, and suddenly everything changed..McCain could have actually won, and the media was shocked, they did not expect that to happen, they expected an easy victory for their messiah, and she was going to ruin that..so they attacked her, day after day after day, she did not budge. Even after the election, when most Presidential candidates/VP candidates don’t win, they go back to their regular lives, they STILL made her life a living hell, because its really simple, they know she can beat Obama in 2012 if she chooses to. Don’t believe the “We want Sarah to run because Obama can beat her easily” BS..trust me..its NOT true..I talked to my cousin recently, he is as liberal as they come, even HE said that the left knows she can beat him “Dont believe the polls” he told me..they are seriously THAT scared she can win..that is why they are hoping that
#1 someone kills her..you know if someone did try they would be a hero to the left

Just happened to rent “True Women,” a 3hr Melodrama from the ‘90s, From Netflix. I suggest conservatives take a look. After watching Dana Delaney’s character in action —a Texas woman of the 19th mid-century— you can see where Sarah is coming from. The same starch. Check it out.

Sarah Palin is more than qualified to be president. With that said, it is incumbent upon us to help her get elected because she represents us, the common man. As she goes, so do we. If we lose this one, it will be a horrible setback for our cause of taking back our country from the elites. That's my comment.
It wasn’t until the recent disgusting post-Tucson attacks on Palin that I realized that PDS had matched and possible surpassed BDS.
I would still give Bush the edge, he’s had to endure it since 1994 and especially for last 10 years, Sarah is starting year 4.
I dont care about what the left says or cares. But, I am a big sceptic of Palin. I saw and listened to her speech. It was god awful. It was meandering. It was cya. God help the conservative cause if this is the best we can do.
