Some of the poor and downtrodden are there because of bad luck, illness, disability, or a single bad decision. However, I would say that 95% of the downtrodden are there because they have worked very hard at the difficult task of self destruction. Ted Williams is one of that 95%.

The most successful are those who have tried and failed repeatedly, until they finally won the prize.

So true, successful people usually have many failures under their belt.

I hope Ted Williams gets the help he needs from rehab to get sober, and stay sober. Wishing him the best. I hope people don’t give up on him so quickly.

You're right. The definition of being successful is somebody who has gotten up one more time than he has fallen.
