And I think it’s the AP report about it that says it’s not clear whether he did the shooting because of healthcare or because of his own issues, which he talked about in his videos online.
They never even said what some of his “issues” were. Anybody looking at what he had on his sites knows he wasn’t mad about healthcare reform. The reporting on that was journalistic malpractice, since it referenced Loughner’s videos and thus knew what “issues” he had.
It would be sort of like saying, “It was unclear whether Hitler killed Jews in self-defense or whether there were other issues.” Anybody who knew enough to be writing an article would know darn good and well that there were other “issues” that were behind his murder of Jews. You’d have to be an idiot to not know that.
The AP knew full well Loughner wasn’t protesting Giffords’ healthcare stance. They’re just in full-blown deception mode. It makes me sick, and I hope it backfires big-time by making everybody else sick too. Confiscate his computer; find out what sites he’s been looking at. Then feed these liberal liars some of their own medicine.
To me this guy just seems totally off the reservation. I mean his youtube videos wre not the work of a sane man. Ranting about currency and grammar and who knows what else. Having videos about mind control and conscious dreaming and brainwashing. Saying his favorite books include Mein Kampf. Obviously this guy is seriously disturbed.
Then a grown man of 22 also lists among his favorite books Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan and Aesop’s Fables. No adult lists children’s stories as their favorite books unless they have mental issues. The guy is living in some fantasy world. He may be on heavy medication or using drugs.
Given the Mein Kampf connection maybe he went after Giffords because of her Jewish background?
The woman on Twitter who went to school with him said he was saying things about Giffords back in 2007. There may be some history here we don’t yet know about.
If I had to guess he probably had some longstanding beef with her and snapped for some reason. But the shooting the 15 other people is what I noticed. That’s not the act of someone who wants to go after someone politically. That’s the act of someone truly deranged. Look at history. Guys like Sirhan Sirhan, Hinckley, Ray, the guy who shot George Wallace, etc... they went after their target. They didn’t go after 15 other random people.
This guy seems like the Va Tech guy with his mental issues. Or even that guy Cunanan who shot Versace. Unfortunately there are going to be guys like that in society and especially when we have 310M+ people here.
This guy has serious mental issues and unfortunately Giffords and a bunch of other people became a victim of it. There’s no need to blame others or try and scapegoat people for his actions.
