Why do conservative elites go out of their way to trash Palin? Because she does not talk like them. And because she was not born upper middle class or above. And because she did not go to a private university. And she does not give a sh-t about fitting in.
This is exactly why 18% of Republicans in Delaware voted for a Marxist instead of supporting Christine O'Donnell. It's a screwed up "class" thing.

Fear.
Fear of a superior life-form.
Fear of their own approaching, inevitable irrelevance.
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

She is the spirit of the Tea Party movement, even while Mr. Frum grumbles that Republicans are doomed if they listen to her. Tea Party and Republican Party are hardly synonymous.

The convergence of Palin/Bachmann is coming closer (predicted in 2007).
The elites trash her for the timeless reason that people classify one another to feel superior or to prop up their worldview. She simply isn’t an insider and never will be.
To: Bigtigermike
The biggest reason is they know she will not have them as part of her White House administration, even the lowest of the low position.
She also will ferret out all the back biting creeps that try to push her out by sucking up to the liberal Pubbies that are her competition in the hopes they will be thrown a bone.

Most of us aren’t ‘trashing’ Sarah.
I LOVE Sarah.
I’d love for her to win, but I’m just afraid she couldn’t.
I’d go for a Pence/Palin ticket.

Because real Americans know another real American when they see one, and the cocktail-beltway-faux “conservatives” are scared as Hell that real Americans are fed up with their BS.
She would not take their “advice”, nor would she compromise those that elected her, they know that and we know that. They fear her more than they do the left, after all they already crawled in bed with the left.
The Hell with them.

Other prominent conservatives seem to relish dissing the former Alaska governor. David Frum, Joe Scarborough, Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, Chris Christie; dont forget Kathleen Parker, who parleyed her Palin envy into a CNN talk show that no one watches. I wouldn't say this is a list of Conservatives, let alone prominent Conservatives.

In a twist of irony, Newt was on Hannity’s show telling all of the Congressmen that they need to stand on their principals and speak out on the issues and correct the MSM and the Dems when they are wrong. Yet he trashes Palin for doing exact that. Perhaps he is jeleous that this all comes to her naturally and doesn't need his advice.

I supported Palin with McCain. I am not comfortable with her running for president. Where I live, I heard all the talk during the 2008 election. People said that she didn’t have experience, blah, blah. In closing, we ran an old tired Republican in â08 and are going to run his running mate in 2012?

Because if the little people (the Tea Party) takes over they will make those elites (Rove, Krauthammer, etc) sign the Magna Carta. Thus lose their elite power to lowly Americans. Can't have that now, can we?They would rather join the Democrat Elite than let peons run things.

Would someone please remind these educated fools that the so called smartest people in the country are the ones who got us into this mess.
Give me a President who loves our country and will put our country ahead of himself or herself and we will be great again. I want a patriot in the White House.
