First, the Republicans reward Michigan Rep. Fred Upton for banning the light bulb, by putting him in charge of energy. Now they reward Illinois Rep. Tim Johnson for voting against farmers property rights, by putting him in charge ofyou guessed it farming.

The new guys are not there yet...
there will be some changes then
...or else
Hate to say it, but - with a few exceptions - it looks like we’re exchanging one group of pigs at the trough with another group of pigs at the trough.
Hope I’m wrong...time will tell.
And that’s the House, never mind the senate.
Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.
After what the RINOs did in the Lame Duck Session, they are on official warning, either get your act together and get on board the train, or there will be another major party in 2012. And that is not a good thing, but it may be a necessary thing if we are forcefed this RINO crap.
All we can do at this point is take names and wait for 2012.
In 2000, when then-State Rep. Tim Johnson ran for Congress, he promised that he wouldn’t be in the U.S. House for more than three terms. Later, he changed his mind, and, last month, he won his sixth term. He usually votes conservatively, since he’s pro-tax cuts, pro-spending cuts, pro-life, and pro-gun. However, he’s been in Congress too long. I hope that, in 2012, he’ll retire and be replaced by State Sen. Bill Brady.
I think you are correct.
All we can do at this point is take names and wait for 2012.
Those whose names are taken, need to have no doubt what “that” means, and the potential impact on “their” party.
Cornyn and KBH need to go. Both pure RINOs.
There are others.
I have a solution to the DC disease. It is to DownSize DC! And force Congress and the Senate to telecommute most of the year from their home district, away from the lobbyists and under the thumb of the electorate. Can you imagine the cost savings? And it would completely change the center-of-gravity of the Federal Government away from DC.
Win/Win/Win!
And it would require no new legislation. The Constitution states that they shall meet at least 1 time per year and specifies the date. (has been changed) But it says nothing about term of session.
I appreciate what you’re saying, and I don’t doubt he has some conservative stripes, but it sounds like more than anything this RINO is just all over the place. He was one of the turncoats who voted against the surge; he’s for card check; he was for the light-bulb ban; he’s against ANWR and developing our own resources; at times of record energy prices he has voted to raise energy taxes. Here’s some info on him: http://removerinos.com/JohnsonTimothy.html
And by the way...the things I mentioned above are only a sample. He has quite a few other bad votes. I agree wholeheartedly with what you say about him being in DC too long.
Gotta love those right-wing Leftists (aka RINOs)!
I have got a bad feeling about this Republican congress holding the Conservative line. I hope they don’t turn out to roll over for the marxist democrats to get along with the MSM so they will be liked. I think the new Tea Party members will hold the line, but the Republican establishment will be the problem.
I read that these Republicans want to replace KBH, in 2012:
Andrew “Cas” Castanuela (R) - Retired USAF Veteran
Elizabeth Ames Jones (R) - State Railroad Commissioner & Ex-State Rep.
Nick Latham (R) - Businessman & Religious Right Activist
Lela Pittenger (R) - Bible Studies Teacher
Michael Williams (R) - State Railroad Commissioner, Ex-Assistant US Education Secretary & Attorney
Roger Williams (R) - Ex-Secretary of State, Businessman & Ex-Minor League Baseball Player
Who should win the primary? I think that someone who has held a statewide office will win, since KBH was a state treasurer, and Cornyn was an attorney general.
I have no clue who will win the Primary, but I am anxious for KBH to leave. She is toooo comfortable in DC!
How many here really, REALLY thought we would change things by voting one set of bastards out and voting in another, similar set? We have to stop worrying about whether or not they have the stones to vote conservatively and develop some stones ourselves.
Remember those Town Hall Meetings? We really showed then then, didn’t we? NOT!
Then we lined up to vote a bunch of them out. How’s that working out? Oh yeah, we just have to wait awhile so “our” guys can show their strength. Sure, and the sun’s going to come up in the west tomorrow too.
The people on this forum are generally good people... maybe too good. We all want good things to happen but we don’t want to do bad things to accomplish those good things. It ain’t gonna work that way folks. No government has ever voluntarily given up power they’ve stolen from the people. The only way people have ever gotten power back from their government is through the exertion of superior power.
I know most who read these words will think I’m some sort of agent provocateur (sp?) for daring to bring the subject up but at the same time they’ll know in their hearts that I’m right. Consequently, nothing will be done, aside from typing angry posts and making vain threats. Still, one day someone will decide he’s had enough and he’ll take the initiative and strike back at Leviathan. For his efforts, he’ll be killed. Worse, he won’t get to tell his story. Thus Leviathan will use the sycophant media to paint him as a domestic terrorist and the rest of you will shrink further back into your holes.
Me? I’m nearly dead already. They can’t hurt me anymore. God Bless America? God help America!
Trent Lott, LOBBIST, said he was not worried about the new class because he would just train them as to how things are done in DC.
REMEMBER THE CONGRESS HAS CHANGED BUT THE STAFFERS ARE THE SAME LIBERAL PRO HOMO PRO GUN CONTROL PRO SOCIALIST BIG GOVERNEMNT STATISTS.
BEWARE THE STAFFERS.
