I don’t think there are any good people in this story.
What a pissy, poorly written article. She is trying to move our sympathy from the dying woman to her scumbag husband. What is with using the word “remorse” in referring to what Elizabeth won’t do? Remorse is not the right word.
It was within Elizabeth’s power to extend grace and forgiveness. As a Christian I believe she would have been obedient to extend forgiveness. It would have helped her reach a better state of peace in this life. But John had no right to expect or demand forgiveness. Grace is not grace if it is owed.
This story moves me to be sad for Elizabeth. John’s pain does not move me in the least.

Really hard for me to lump Elizabeth in with the likes of Jonny and Rielle.
I feel sorry for their two youngest children and the illegitimate baby. What terrible examples they had for parents.
I doubt that.
I guess you're right about that but it's a shame that she went to her judgement refusing to grant forgiveness to her husband.
