Nominate a true conservative in his place and watch Vicky
Kennedy win a landslide victory.
Brown’s “RINO” record, acc. to Kathyf in Boston Herald. How would Coakley have voted?:
1. His refusal to go along with pro-amnesty DREAM Act
2. Vote against Elena Kagan
3. Pledge not to sponsor earmarks
4. Opposition to the $1.2 trillion spending bill, which helped kill it
5. Vote against Obama\’s nomination of a radical SEIU lawyer for NLRB
6. Opposition to cap and trade (thereby dooming it)
7. His bill to strip home-grown terrorists of their citizenship
8. His vote to extend the Bush tax cuts (don\’t forget, 8 of our 10 whacky Dem congressmen voted against the tax cut, even when it was sweetened with an extension of unemployment benefits).
9. His bill to tighten sanctions on Iran until they give up their nuclear weapons program
10. His attack on Harvard elitists for their refusal to allow ROTC on campus
Brown is a good conservative. Does he vote with Republicans all the time? No, sometimes he will vote off, but he said when he ran for US Senate that he was not going to march in lockstep with either party, and he hasn’t.
In Mass. this is as close as we will get.
In every case, these were issues where his vote was meaningless, as the issue had already been decided.
Where his vote might be decisive....he invariably sides with the Dems.
Sorry to dovetail off an old Boston Red Sox joke here, but he is choking on some big ones. the Banking Bill and the START Treaty are way over the line for me. I get some inside the finanical beltway publications and read what the effects of Dodd/Frank are and we are so screwed. I got a number of people to send $ to him and got Mass voters to vote for him. Not anymore. If many feel like me, he is political toast real soon....
Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
Only because of the RomneyBOTs on talk radio
who claim to be "conservatives".
HINT: TURN OFF WRKO and DU.
I'm 50 years old and I've been voting straight Republican my whole life (okay, there were a couple of Libertarian votes when I was much younger).
But I've got bad news --
I won't be voting for Brown again. I won't vote for any RINO. Which means that it is unlikely that I will vote in MA very much in the future.
MA may go further Left; I don't care. I will not be an enabler of the abomination called RINOism. The establishment GOP lost me this year.
Good Conservative? LOL
Liberalism and voting for government takeovers is anything but conservative.
Of course, I don't have a dog in the fight since I don't live in taxachussets.
