Barack Obama is George H.W. Bush?

President Obama has been compared to a lot of past presidents. In the first days of his administration, he was compared to great presidents like Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan, as well as John F. Kennedy. These days, Mr. Obama is being compared to some other presidents.

Sometimes, Mr. Obama is described as another Bill Clinton. After watching his Democrats take a pounding in the 1994 midterm election, Mr. Clinton pivoted to the center in 1995-96 in an effort to improve his own standing as his re-election drew near. (Like Mr. Obama, Mr. Clinton was perceived by some as having gone too far left in his first two years in office.)

Others see Mr. Obama as another George W. Bush because of his order of a troop surge in Afghanistan and efforts to continue at least some of the Bush-era tax cuts.

There is another comparison that is beginning to be made, however.

Some see Mr. Obama as another George H.W. Bush.

Barack Obama is the last Kennedy brother. Chrissie Mathews said so, so it must be true. He got a tingle thinking about Obama being the last Kennedy brother.

I'm going with SARAH PALIN'S OPINION

Q: "What do you think of Obama's presidency thus far?"

SARAH PALIN: "Two words: Jimmy Carter."

I agree 100%. GHWB may not have been a true Conservative, but he is as real and decent a man as has ever held public office; Obama is an empty suit whose ideals are repugnant to all good people. If GHWB happens to have brown eyes, I’d say that the only think Obama and GHWB have in common is eye color.

I think I prefer the comparison to Jimmy Carter. It’s a close call, but I seriously think Obama is worse; a feat I never thought possible.

HW raised taxes & proudly talked about the “new world order”. His poor communication skills gave us 8 years of Billary. HW might be a nice but he was not a good president.

Obama is much worse, of course. Worse than Carter IMO cuz’ his contempt for America screams out at me louder than Carter’s did.

In the first days of his administration, he was compared to great presidents like Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan,

The only person doing the comparing was himself.

Well, this issue can be settled simply by comparing resumes, so no need for any BDS.

Or maybe Obama is more like Pierce who signed the Kansas-Nebraska Act or Buchannan who tried to force the Lecompton constitution on a majority who didn’t want it. Kind of reminds me of this healthcare debacle that is on a national scale instead of just a territory... the same kind of stuff.
