Only one minor disagreement:
“If we look at real communists like Lenin and Trotsky, we will see men who are engaged in the real world and who do realize what they are up against...This hardening eventually paid off, and when the time came, they were ready...Obama is, in many ways, the direct opposite of such men”
Lenin’s and Trotsky’s engagement in the real world consisted of attempts to bend and force reality into their theory. Obama’s trying to do the same thing - ineptly, and with a lot less force (so far). But he’s trying to shape the truth rather than adapting to it.

I believe proxy_user is characterizing the inner strength of real street or labor union revolutionaries with the soft-handedness of the rhetorical revolutionary. Both, obviously, try to force reality to the theory. But one type really is fighting a military engagement in the pursuit of power while the other is only play-acting the warrior role. No one ever beat the crap out of zerO. He has never been at the mercy of the system. None of that has any gut meaning for him.
zerO has not suffered. He lost a primary, but it didn't really affect his lifestyle or circumstances. As stated: he has no street cred. He has always had cadres to run his interference. In street terms, he is a punk.
