Mike Potemra: The Palin Juggernaut -How can she not win GOP nomination!-
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/254401/rumblings-discontent-palin-mike-potemra ^ | Mike Potemra

When I see the fervor of Sarah Palin’s fans — and by no means just those who swell the adoring crowds who go to her public appearances — I am convinced that the question is not, “How can she win the GOP nomination?” but “How can she not win it?” When you have anywhere between five and fifteen GOP candidates, all expressing basically the same conservative views, how can anyone other than the only one with the passionate fan base possibly win? And yet: Reading between the lines of what conservative-movement people are saying and writing, there is a great deal of worry about the prospect of a Palin nomination.

The choice between Palin and Obama, phrased in the least flattering (to Palin) possible way, is a choice between a woman who may turn out to be seriously inadequate to the job and, therefore, become a failed president; and a man who has already convincingly demonstrated that he is seriously inadequate to the job and, therefore, already is a failed president. This rather changes the “electability” issue, doesn’t it?

"Prediction - June 15, 2009 Mike Potemra
Four years from now, Mitt Romney will be president of the United States."

Mike Potemra: "I find Mitt Romney's religious background a factor
that makes me more, rather than less, likely to vote for him."

Mitt Romney: "I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn’t make any sense at all.""

--  President Ronald Reagan

Oh please, can’t we just give it a rest for now? We have over a year before the first primary. What’s the rush to shove this woman down our throats now? I’m already sick of her even though I like her.

Find the so-called ‘Republicans’ that hate her (Rove comes to mind).
They are the ones we call ‘RINOS’.
Slit their throats. Metaphorically speaking, natch. Ignore them—forever.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

The particular challenge is that the last three GOP presidential terms were all held by ‘moderates’ (no matter W’s tough talk), so the national GOP party is deeply and widely RINOized. It’s been 22 years since we’ve had a conservative in office.

Also, look at the House and Senate, the few solidly conservative members are the exceptions who prove the rule pertains in Congress as well. Palin of course isn’t just like Reagan, but just like Reagan her first major challenge is the crowd at the top of her own party.

Why do I get the feeling the MSM is picking another loser on us in the same fashion they picked McCain?

Nice map...if we are looking to hire a Park Ranger. The more pertinent statistic is population...Alaska’s population is 0.17% of the total US populatiom

This is more trying to damn her with the faintness of praise. It’s funny, if it weren’t so sad, how many of her opponents feel the need to camouflage their savaging of her with patronizing ‘advice’ and praise.

I’ve never seen so many pundits concerned about what more than public office will make a prospective candidate happy, how a prospective candidate can really accomplish so much more outside of office than in that diminishing little role of president, etc..

Too bad for you, she is not going away nor even taking a break from the limelight. Get used to it, Sarah is going to be in the media spotlight for a long time, even if she decides not to run. So if you are sick of Sarah already then you are in bad shape and will get worse as time goes on.

Sarah puts liberinos into anguish. She jams her heels into their backs and twists, and is the ONLY conservative giving them the hell they deserve. Its fun to watch, I cannot get enough of that. So, bring on more Sarah, more, more, more, I love the smell of bbq liberino in the morning, noon, and night.

How can she not win GOP nomination!-

Open primaries and lots of Democrats voting in Republican primaries. It will happen if the kenyan has no serious opposition in the Democrat primaries. The Democrats will give us Romney just as they gave us McCain. Chances are pretty good that any Republoicxan will beat the kenyan in 2012 so it is to the Democrats' benefit that they get Romney up as the Republican nominee. He will maintain anything they have attained and add some to the socialist project on his own and will produce another slide to the left in 2014 and 2016.
