My opinion: material possessions do not bring people happiness or fulfillment despite their expectations.
So they just buy more and more crap, thinking it will make them happier.
Without God, there is no reason for living.
There is always more money in “searching” for a cure than there is in finding a cure.
We kicked God out of our lives.
He is not pleased.
How’s that for an answer?
I could provide you a thousand reasons why you are wrong about that, but I don’t have the time — I’ve got SHOPPING to do!

IMO, that is a great answer! I have proven it in my own experience that when I venture out on my own...thinking I am in control and have the answers I need that it doesn’t take long for depression to set in..... I wish I didn’t keep on forgetting that! :)

Well, eventually when I get around to the other 5 articles in the series, we’ll look more specifically at the great value to recovering our Christian meaning, the emptiness of various world-views, etc.
If everyone took just one minute a day to stop doing anything else, and silently thanked God for the good things in their lives and for his blessings in the future, the world would be a much happier place, and in a very short period of time.
