The three are not the same!
Hobos are not bums!
Bums are not tramps, and tramps aint hobos.
Hobos have pride.
Once an active Hobo, now a proud "Hobo at Heart".
Yes we have the "wander lust" and we love to travel and see this great country of ours from time to time via rail and road. But we work and aint "bums" as Fruhlinger calls us.

Where do you live? On the San Fran peninusla, you’ll find them on many street corners on El Camino begging for money. Going to work in the morning, you’ll see them pushing their grocery carts up the road. They are everywhere — no need to go to the projects.
You are confusing tramps or bums with hobos!

I live far, far away in a land of freedom called “Tennessee”. I live far enough away from a large city that the bums won’t come out here.
BOT said “bums.” We got ‘em in spades on the Peninsula. No hobos, no tramps. Plain old bums. Mild climate brings ‘em. That and lots of govt freebies and “tolerance” for the ruination of public life.
