well they do have a point feeding the homeless just enables their lifestyle and frees up what resources they have drugs and booze. I don’t take the states side here if someone wants to feel like a good liberal/christian/altruist and buy a homeless guy a sandwich or give them ten bucks for food (which is spent on vodka) than thats their bussiness.

Your right. But if you take away the feedings it will only punish those who really need it. From there it wont stop. Next the state will want to regulate our kitchens as well. I got a friend of mine who was homeless on skid row for a few months. He gave me a lot of this info. He said its easier get food from feedings then the rescue missions which tend to be unsanitary and full of psychos and criminals.

'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. - Ezekiel 16:49

Now I agree with you that the "poor" are often not really all that poor, and when they are it's generally their own fault, and that money given to them is often put to bad use, which is generally how they got to be poor in the first place.

But for those of us who give a rat's backside about Christianity, there's that verse in Ezekiel, and it won't go away.
