“Bombmaking materials allegedly found in soldier’s motel correspond with al-Qaeda recipe”

SNIPPET: “The bombmaking materials that were allegedly discovered in the motel room of Pfc. Naser Abdo, the soldier accused of plotting an attack near Fort Hood, Tex., correspond with a list of bombmaking “ingredients” published last year in an al-Qaeda magazine.

The ingredients were listed in an article that appeared last year in Inspire, the English-language magazine of al-Qaeda’s Yemen-based affiliate. That same article, titled “Make a bomb in the kitchen of your Mom,” was found in Abdo’s backpack, along with items including wires, gunpowder and a pressure cooker, according to an affidavit filed Friday in federal court in Waco.

Inspire is believed to be produced by Samir Khan...”
