Now 20%, the “Enthusiasm gap” is crushing Democrats putting 111 in danger

Two of the latest stories about the coming election jump off our screens and support each other.

In recent weeks those who make their living forecasting wehat will happen in November’s elections have unanimously moved their predictions toward a bigger Republican victory.

In mid August the aggregate number of Republican victories they foresaw was a 103 seat pick up. Now a month and a half later they have added more than a seat per week as things get worse and worse for the Democrats. The new Democrat kill number is now 111 who can easily lose.

They so deeply don’t get it

Among the numerous reasons for this breathtaking reversal of fortunes is a most persuasive explanation focusing on Barack Obama’s total lack of competent advisors.

Using the purely political skills of Valarie Jarrett, Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and others Obama cruised to a big election victory in 2008.

Nevertheless, as skilled at winning elections as this bunch is none of them has given Obama one bit of useful advice. Now the waters are churning up and the damn is breaking for the Democrats. They don’t know what to do but run.

When asked about the hole he has put fellow Democrats in, Axelrod has gleefully pointed out that “the Republican Party is not in a better position perceptually than the Democrats.” He seems to have no idea that being correct in this instance is supremely irrelevant.

The enthusiasm gap moving toward critical mass……

Now is the time to redouble the effort. We seem to have them down, now it is time to crush them and rub their faces in the dirty.

The Toe Sucker (Dick Morris) was on Mark Levin on Wednesday saying that the Republicans should be shooting for 100+ in the House.

Jim Geraghty’s anonymous ‘Obi-Wan’ guy didn’t put a number on it, but he also said that we should be aiming higher than conventional wisdom would dictate.

I hate to be a wet blanket...but I fear the absentee vote will sky-rocket as all the Obama voters get text messages telling them to vote absentee...if they don’t get a great turn-out, I predict absentee voting will get even easier for next time around...

Looking at a Constitutional amendment majority ~ in the House, and within months, in the Senate as well.

What’s going to happen within months to change the senate? I agree we’ll have a majority there in 2011 and we have a strong shot at 60 in 12, but 67?

I am an optimist, but I don’t know about that one.

I think 100 is within reach, but this won’t be easy, and we’ll undoubtedly lose a few we should win. Candidates aren’t perfect, we do have an enemy, and there is still a lot of money to be spent.

Our dazzled posterity may one day look back at this time and wonder how after giving over total control in Washington to the Democrats under the far Left we as a people could spin pivot 180 degrees - roused from our societal torpor and stagnation by the revolutionary impact of an archaist movement such as the Tea Party, a largely leaderless movement that rose suddenly, fashioned on the anvil of despair and economic ruin and decisively overwhelmed the entrenched, insular power the people had just previously committed itself to. With that sort of energy still to be tapped in America I see us as surviving much longer than recent reports have declared.

I mis-remembered. I heard The Toe Sucker on Hannity, not Levin.

TSS also said that the Repubs should be funding race number 80, 81, etc., not the top races that are shoo-ins.

I think a Republican majority with a far Leftwingtard President will be enough to FORCE OUT a good number of Democrat Senators.

It just won't be fun.

absentee isn’t new, and actually is more work than going to the polls. The lazy Obama voter has to request the ballot and then fill it out and mail. That means getting off the couch twice instead of just once.

Secondly, even if the Dems somehow do get their based enthused, we still will have a good day. The middle is on our side now, not theirs. We have a highly motivated base and the majority of independents. We’ll win a lot of seats. The other side can mitigate some of the damage at this point, but only so much.

The national media put Hussein in the Whitey House with its 24/7 cheer leading and covering up. Naturally the weakest, least competent republican candidate sine Bob Dole didn’t hurt. But even the media can’t convince voters that the daily “it’s Bush’s fault” screed coming from the White House and the democrat party is anything more than the tripe it has been from the beginning. The ruling class may soon get a lesson in the ACTUAL intellect of those “little people” for whom contempt has always run so deep.

I’ve been saying this for over a year now... November 100+ seats will swing between house and Senate.

I also firmly believe once this happens the radicals that back and think like Reid and Pelosi and Fauxbama will be forced out of DNC leadership in an all out civil war in the Democratic party, which will result with Democrats themselves pushing for the impeachment of Fauxbama next year in order to save their party for the destruction that these commies have wrought upon it.

This author fails to include the highly likely scenario that uhbama simply does not take advice contrary to his ideas. Period.

It was written that Rahm baby begged uhbama to slow down with the massive and invasive health care scheme and initiate it very incrementally.

uhbama apparently would have nothing to do with this.

Uhbama is truly a narcissist, I don't think I have ever heard anyone dispute this observation. My take is that he cannot negotiate and he cannot stand criticism or disagreement on any level. Nor can he take personal responsibility on any level convincingly because he really thinks he is always right. Like God.

Looks like many have forgotten about massive vote fraud..
The democrats have been fine tuning their vote fraud for decades..
The republicans have done LITERALLY NOTHING about it..
NOTHING...

Voter fraud while a serious thing will be impossible to do on the large scale they need. There are far far too many races that would need attention and they would have to steal 4% in most cases. Four percent is HUGE and an impossible number. They just have that much power. Fear not.
