"In countries where people consume a lot of [turmeric], there's a very low incidence of Alzheimer's disease," emphasized Kilham. "In India and Southeast Asia, it's a rare disease. And [in the U.S.] it's very, very common."

That might have more to do with life-expectancy than anything else. One would expect lower Alzheimer rates in countries where the median death age is 60.

Y'caught me. I'd heard this last year, so I skimmed and skipped. Last year's item didn't make clear the local impact.
