The Mexican drug cartels employ so-called "spotters" with high tech surveillance equipment such as night vision goggles who provide counter-intelligence on law enforcement movements along the smuggling corridor running through Pinal County, AZ, and yesterday Sheriff Paul Babeu announced the arrest of one such spotter who was discovered living in a cave atop Wild Cat Peak which is located 70 miles north of the border.

That suspect was identified as Hiram Rendon-Rios, 23, a Mexican national working as a spotter for a drug cartel. He was living in the cave and had a supply of food, communications equipment, clothing and binoculars. He was deported back to Mexico.
That's the wrong response; he should have instead been charged with espionage* and publicly hung.
*espionage noun

These guys need to be the subject of BORTAC Special Ops teams or real live military SF teams to take them out.
It's a damn invasion with pathfinders, sappers and infiltrators and needs to be treated that way. A county sheriff in Casa Grande doesn't have the resources to conduct a counter-insurgency war.
I read Clear and Present Danger and thought, “Yeah, this is how we handle this problem!” I never thought we’d need to conduct ground ops here in the US.
