NRSC, shame on you! Support Christine O’Donnell!
Big Bureaucracy ^ | September 15th, 2010 | Ellie Velinska

The National Republican Senatorial Committee refused to fund the Tea Party darling in Delaware Christine O’Donnell, who kicked out of office the establishment Republican Castle in the state primary yesterday.

This was the ugliest decision the Republican elite could have made.

When folks donate to the NRSC they expect them to fight for every senatorial candidate. They should not discriminate between the glamorous former CEO lady and the woman who struggled through home foreclosure.

People expect the NRSC to support all senatorial candidates that folks moved forward in legitimate Republican primaries. It is not the Republican’s elite who decides who is worthy to be Senator and who is not – it is the voters in the primaries.

It doesn’t matter if it is O’Donnell, Alvin Green, Charley Wrangle or Barack Obama: it is voters who have a say, not some politburo.

The Republicans fight united for the tax-cuts for the rich, but the Republican elite would not support their senatorial candidate because she experienced how it feels to get bankrupt paying for college education. She knows how it feels to default on mortgage. But the NRSC is only supporting fancy-shmancy Castle-like candidates?

The people in Delaware have spoken. All year long we hear the Republicans lecture us on state rights and power to the local communities. It is time for the Republican elite to walk the walk shoulder to shoulder with Christine O’Donnell because ‘we the people’ said so.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee refuses to support not just O’Donnel but all the thousands of folks that voted for her hoping she will represent them in Congress. The NRSC is betraying the republican primary voters in Delaware. Shame on you!

I hope that while I am writing this post the NRSC is reversing their decision.

I swear to God, I hate the damn GOP!

It is as Rush said yesterday, if their nonsense and recalcitrance causes the formation of a third party, that minority third party will be the GOP, which is all but a vestigial organ at this point.

A short while ago I sent an email to the NRSC, after having sent it to the RNC Fire Nancy Pelosi Tour Bus campaign. Here's the NRSC email address: info@nrsc.org

Here's my email:

I just sent the following to the RNC care of their Fire Nancy Pelosi bus tour. Since it pertains to the NRSC in particular, I'm sending it to you as well:

I’m all for the “Fire Pelosi Bus Tour. But why stop there? There isn’t an anti-American incumbent that should be left in Congress come November 3rd. And as far as their actions go, I’d say that should include Michael Steele, John Cornyn, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, the NRSC, and all Republicans In Name Only who inhabit the Washington beltway. Especially after their petulant, sour grapes refusal to back Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell in her bid for the Senate seat from Delaware. She was the people’s choice but now you won’t back her? I’ve never seen a bigger bunch of infantile nitwits in my life. Karl Rove? Karl Rove is a jerk.

Make no mistake. We’re coming for all of you. We’re taking the Republican Party back from the Democrat lites who infest Washington. We’re taking this nation back to it’s roots in Constitutional government. We’re tired of bi-partisan politics. We’re tired of pork laden spending. We’re tired of government growing exponentially just because you people think it will solidify your tenure. We’re tired of open borders and the infiltration of anti-American leeches who drain our economy. Finally, we’re tired of not being listened to.

Fire Pelosi? Sure. She’s socialist scum. But she’s not alone. We want to fire you all.

With what little (if any) respect that is due...

I'll never, ever support the RNC NRSC, or any Republican entity until they clean themselves of the leftist elites who rule these organizations. All my support, especially monetary support, will go directly to the candidate of my choice; especially Christine O'Donnell. And I'm not alone. No, I'm not alone by a long shot.

Sincerely,

bcsco

Let them know exactly how you feel about their miserable respect for voter preferences.

They’d rather scorch the political landscape than let the rabble into their exclusive club. Well, guess what? The next time they demand conservatives support the moderate winner of a primary, they can go suck eggs - unless they come around and eat their crow and help out conservative primary winners.

If they don’t support her, make sure they have no money to support the RINOs.

Your $35 donation to O’Donnell’s campaign provides an additional political benefit: Be sure to print out a copy of your donation receipt to send to the NRSC — instead of a check — when they come asking for money. How we spend our election dollars is a message the political establishment understands.

“It is not the Republican’s elite who decides who is worthy to be Senator and who is not – it is the voters in the primaries.”

Amen - and it’s time to revolt and vote with dollars to particular candidates, not to the central party coffers.

...you hated Castle, you loved O’Donnell.

Not really. I was a Castle supporter, but now that O'Donnell has won, I will be supporting her with $$, and I have fired off an email to the NRC, stating that it is inconceivable that the Republican Party would not support the winner of the Republican Primary.

Seriously, conservatives can’t defund the NRSC and RNC, and then get upset when they don’t send their scarce dollars to support our candidates that they think can’t win.

Sure. I have no problem with that.

What I do have a problem with, is GOP elitests going on TV and actively trying to sabotage O'Donnell's campaign.

That is totally unacceptable.

I just made a small donation. You must read the comments after you donate. Last night she was trying to raise 50k today she is over 100,000 and climbing by the minute. Cool.

They are the reason for the tea party. This shows how much power is behind the people. Castle’s response is exactly how a RINO would act.

I hope that while I am writing this post the NRSC is reversing their decision.

Their hasty decision has definately turned off a lot of people who otherwise would have been willing supporters. Basically they have declared the NRSC should decide what is best for the party not the voters. They may soon realize they shot themselves in the foot as NRSC donations start drying up.

I am starting to wonder if the “GOP” is simply “pretending” to oppose all of obama’s policies, win in a landslide and then continue to take over where the Dems left off... Wondering.
