As far as I’m concerned if you want to burn the Koran with your followers do it inside the privacy of your own home and don’t publicize it, similar to your next door neighbor smoking a joint in his or her own home should not be prosecuted or persecuted either.

"This idiot pastor is enabling the radical Islamists to condemn Christianity and Judaism and burn our bibles."

They've already been doing that for centuries. They also burn Churches and Christians. So what can they do they aren't already doing?

She is both consistent and correct. Both the NYC and FL questions are about judgment, not constitutional right.

Further, Palin is the mother of a soldier who served in the Middle East and recognizes danger for American soldiers who are protecting us from radical elements around the world.

If people can put a Crucifix in urine, then people can also burn the koran.

I don't care about the Koran, but people should NOT be able to put a Crucifix in urine!

She is correct and consistent.

They have the right to do it, but is it the right thing to do?

Funny how these mirror image issues got the idiots on both sides to jump to the “if you say anything against it you are against the 1st Amendment” fallacy.

I heard Pastor Jones on the Hannity show today and it sounds like he’s going to back down from the Koran burning.

Unless he stole the book, he can burn it if he wants to.

If you bothered to read the article, you would find she agrees - they have the right to burn it, she just doesn't think they should.

I thought you exiled yourself, pissant! But to answer your smartass remark, there are Christians living in Muslim countries such as Pakistan and Indonesia, and yes, I think this does put them in more danger. Christians are already martyred in these countries on a regular basis, and this has the potential to fan those flames.

"I agree, too. Frankly, I doubt the guy intends to burn the Koran. I think he’s just saying he will for exactly the effect he got."

I agree. A bad tactic, but he's making people think about "tolerance" has become a one way street.

My question to American muslims: How come you don't send Muslim missionaries to Saudi and Egypt and Iran and Afghanistan and Pakistan to explain to them that "Islam is peaceful?"

The military under Pres. Bush burned/destroyed Bibles with the approval of the “sensitive” Muslims.

Bibles/Torahs confiscated in Islamic countries tend to meet the same fate as well. Also, try wearing a cross/Crucifix in Saudi and see how far you get. If you are female it is a lot worse. In short, Islam is simply a gutter religion, not compatible with other beliefs systems. At least the US has a 200 year start, but with all this Islamic pandering, who knows our culture of freedom will last. Muslims are free to worship, but would be dhimmis are free to ridicule.

And if a stupid book burning brings America to her knees to appease the enemy we are in deep trouble

So never do anything to offend muslims anywhere because they might get mad?

This is in essence, precisely what you are saying.
