Fareed Zakaria Is A Blowhard

Fareed Zakaria is commonly referred to as brilliant, but I think his brilliance is principally based in his ability to find the front of a parade and lecture everyone else about their shortcomings in the comfort of retrospection. He has a new article in Newsweak called "What America Has Lost." The bottom line of the article?

The error this time is more damaging. September 11 was a shock to the American psyche and the American system. As a result, we overreacted.

We overreacted to 9-11. Hmmm.

9-11 was a failure of intelligence, a failure of vigilance. We desperately needed to improve our intelligence gathering, yet Zakaria is critical of the intelligence improvement.

The amount of money spent on intelligence has risen by 250 percent, to $75 billion (and that’s the public number, which is a gross underestimate). That’s more than the rest of the world spends put together.

And? One wonders whether Zakaria has noted that there hasn't been another successful attack since then. As if Zakaria regards success as a failure.

Zakaria continues:

He is intellectually dishonest, and slants his program heavily.

The US is under-reacting to those who are seditious by proposing Sharia be used in the US.

Actually, I think we under-reacted after 9-11. An over-reaction would have been nuking the whole middle east, excluding Israel. An appropriate reaction would have been nuking only Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Syria.

I don’t think he considered what overreacting would really look like.

“based in his ability to find the front of a parade and lecture everyone else about their shortcomings in the comfort of retrospection.”

Gee, does this remind anyone of a POTUS we know?

Another foreign born “American” telling Americans how screwed up we are. Oh did I mention his dad was also a Muslim and in with the Indian National Congress AND he also sang Christian hymns and worshiped at Hindu temples as a child.
Foreigners from developing crap holes don't get to correct me or my country. Prove your brilliance by putting your ass on the line in you're own country and shaping you're own nation into a beacon of the world, and then, maybe you can run you're mouth.
It's like a bum who you rescue from squalor and lives in you're house telling you how to run you're daily life, and you listen to him.

The US traitor ruined Newsweek and is determined to destroy TIME Magazine.

They all deserve each other.

The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party and also many right-wing Hindus have repeatedly accused the Congress Party and its allies of being pro-Muslim, pro-Islam supporting Sharia Laws and showing unnatural favouritism to the Indian Muslim community and toleration, or even promotion of Islamic conservatism and Obscurantism.

The BJP and many Indian Hindus have often accused Congress party and their allies of being soft on Islamic extremism, Islamic fundamentalism, Islamic terrorism and Islamism by scrapping Prevention of Terrorist Activities Act (POTA) immediately after it won the elections in 2004, refusing death penalty to hard-core Islamic terrorists like Afzal Guru, Abdul Subhan Qureshi, Safdar Nagori, Ajmal Kasab and trying to scrap the ban on Students Islamic Movement of India in order to appease Indian Muslim community. It has also been accused of being soft on Indian terrorist groups like Indian Mujahideen which resulted in the resignation of then Home Minister Shivraj Patil in 2008.

Just a little snip amongst Wikipedias basically favorable write up of the INC

So, by FZ's fuzzy-math, avenging 3000 murdered citizens is an over-reaction. So, at what point does murder facilitate proper national outrage? Hmm? 300,000? 3,000,000? 30 million?

Any of the 9/11 families or friends should tell FZ that his life is as, if not more, worthless as those 3,000 citizens that he so callously dimisses in his typical haughty mindset.
