Sunday's Examiner editorial entitled "Time to admit Obamanomics has failed" was the most-read editorial ever published on this site. It's not hard to see why, considering two of the latest economic indicators made public at the same time.
First, there is the continuing plummeting of consumer confidence, as seen in Rasmussen Reports latest Consumer Index:
"The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, slipped on Monday to 69.7.
"Thats down nine points since release of Fridays disappointing jobs report and the lowest level of confidence measured since December 2, 2009. Eight percent (8%) rate the economy as good or excellent while 55% say its in poor shape.

..or it could be because Drudge linked to it....
“Failed” is a subjective term. If the plan was to tube the private economy and kill the ability of business to supply employment, then it was a screaming success!
People are starting to grasp the severity of the situation. I don’t subscribe to the theory that Obama is doing this on purpose — I think he is thoroughly incompetent. This is one of those few times in our history when we need a real leader, and instead, we have ... well, suffice it to say that this will not end well.
the lowest level of confidence measured since December 2, 2009.
Richard Nixon said,”A recession is anytime the American
people lose confidence in the future.”
Of course, the good friends he is talking about are all in Chicago or thereabouts, and want their slice of pork.
To a communist the only solution to the failures of communism is more communism.
The following link is to an old FR thread, about an even older conservative booklet called “The Revolution Was”, written in 1938 about FDR and the New Deal. It is ALL happening again - amazingly, chillingly so. Only worse.

An Excerpt:
Worse outwitted were those who kept trying to make sense of the New Deal from the point of view of all that was implicit in the American scheme, charging it therefore with contradiction, fallacy, economic ignorance, and general incompetence to govern.
But it could not be so embarrassed and all that line was wasted, because, in the first place, it never intended to make that kind of sense, and secondly, it took off from nothing that was implicit in the American scheme. It took off from a revolutionary base.
The design was European. Regarded from the point of view of revolutionary technic it made perfect sense. Its meaning was revolutionary and it had no other. For what it meant to do it was from the beginning consistent in principle, resourceful, intelligent, masterly in workmanship, and it made not one mistake......
Having passed this crisis, the New Deal went on from one problem to another, taking them in the proper order, according to revolutionary technic; and if the handling of one was inconsistent with the handling of another, even to the point of nullity, that was blunder in reverse.
The effect was to keep people excited about one thing at a time, and divided, while steadily through all the uproar of outrage and confusion a certain end, held constantly in view, was pursued by main intention.
The end held constantly in view was power.
And now the Communists in the WH are complaining about their useless idiots in the ‘professional left’.
Too many are not returning to work or looking for employment, since they are getting appx $400 per wk by staying home. Someone called in & said his friend was getting $577 per wk.
I'm sure there is a lot of 'under the table' money they collect too.
Why bother getting up & dressed everyday to do a 9 to 5 job when you can live on 'easy street'.
Rush Limbaugh gets his wish ! ! !
