The New Post-Zionist Left in Israel

First, I want to say that though I often write about Israeli issues, I seldom write about the political scene exclusively and try to be impartial and represent whoever is currently in power as best I can. Recent events have grown to a point where I feel I would be remiss not to try to make sense out of the web of denials, accusations and equivocations.

The basic accusation against Kadima MK Chaim Ramon is that he met with a leading official from the Palestinian Authority and during a lunch held in public was overheard advising that the Palestinian Authority refuse any offer or negotiation from the current conservative coalition government of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and wait for his party, Kadima, to regain power as they would offer the Palestinians a far better and more generous deal. Most would call such a meeting during a time of conflict treason. Since Tzipi Livni has taken no steps to censure or criticize Ramon’s actions, one can only surmise that she supports his venture. Apparently, the leadership of Kadima believes that all is fair in love, war, and discrediting the Netanyahu government in order to regain a leadership position and that they will stoop to any and all actions to weaken and force new elections assuming they would take the lead in the voting. I am as much in favor of a loyal opposition as the next guy, but this is not a loyal opposition, it is a bald faced do whatever it takes, damn the torpedoes full speed ahead, underhanded, lying in wait, ambush opposition. The problem stems from the founding basic ideals of the Kadima Party, which are based in the new left, post-modern, post-Zionist movement.

It is being revealed that Kadima does not view Israel as a Jewish state but more as an all inclusive, liberal, socialist, multicultural society with no real or basic underlying identity. This view does not recognize anyone or any entity as an enemy, simply as a group that needs to be included and accepted into society without any reservations. They hold that most, if not all, definitions of groups or conventions are passé, so yesterday, and completely outmoded in the new world order they work to install. For these people there is no such thing as nationalism as the whole idea of individually defined country, loyalty to such is just so twentieth-century, and it is time to move beyond such petty thoughts, differences and definitions of one’s loyalties.

Where this post-modernist view might seem workable in Europe, in Israel it would be a suicide pact. Israel was founded on the premise that it was to be a homeland for the Jewish people. Remove that definition from Israel and whatever you have, it is not Israel. Kadima’s view of a new-age, multicultural Israel free of the confining definition as a Jewish State sounds eerily similar to the Palestinian idea of the one-state-solution where all the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea should be a democratic state defined solely by the vote of the peoples within such borders. In time, such a state would most certainly become another Muslim State and the Jews would certainly not be the better for such. If this is truly what Kadima has to offer, an Israel without her Jewish underpinnings, then I pray they never regain a position of power to enact this monstrosity of an idea. Such an Israel would remove all the hopes and dreams of the Jewish people’s two-thousand years of yearning while rendering Aliyah meaningless. May G-d forbid such from ever occurring.

Ever since Israel came back from nothing the amount of Torah observant Jews has been steadily growing. From what I have read about 20% of Jews in Israel are now observant to a greater or lesser degree. This just scares the living daylights out of the Left!

The Israeli left has only one loyalty at the moment, to Obama (the American far left). It was the same thing when the Democrats sent Carvile to Israel to help remove Netanyahu from office. Already at that point, the dems had really qualified themselves for a hefty prison sentence - most of them, if not all. Of course these animals will never go to prison, and it may take armed conflict to keep the country from going the way of Kosovo.

Shimon P has always been the most vile kind of traitor, and like with the US democrats it's about loot. Please detail his casino ventures with Yasser Arafat. They should hang him, with festivities and fireworks.

Israeli Jews need to re-acquaint themselves with the Jewish Bible (Old Testament). History repeats itself. Over and over again in the Bible, the 12 tribes once they arrived in Caanan, the Promised Land, sinned over and over again. Each time, the Lord would punish them for their unfaithfulness and they would lose battles and/or come under a foreign power. When they recognized their sins and came back to the Lord, they were rescued. This is a lesson never to be forgotten.

The US is a modern day Promised Land. Unfortunately, just like the Jews of old, we have lost our way. We have adopted a secular lifestyle with little in the way of a value system. Now, we too are suffering the consequences. It is time we found our way back to the Lord, came back to our churches and synagogues and asked forgiveness.
