This should go to the Supreme Court. Something in our bill of rights speaks about this subject.
Education was coopted by the left decades ago.
This is just another manifestation of the cancer.
Will Augusta make the exception for a Muzzie?
“The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.”(wikipedia - RCC catechism)
Whew. Either of those two would leave a bad tastes in someone’s mouth.
I love their tolerant approach!
Must taste like tuna.
Who knew that freedom of thought even needed mentioning in the Bill of Rights?
Thought police in action.
She should NOT leave. It is the intollerant homosexual advocate deviants who should leave.
Besides, "Augusta, Maine" is barely a small city. Never Mind a state. :-)
What kind of degree or grades does this person expect to receive from a masters program that will likely fight her at every turn when she presents her thesis?
She should cut her losses, see what credits will transfer, and look for a program more ‘open’ to there being more than one way of thinking.
“This is a good thing. She should 1) leave, 2) go to a real college that has academic standards, and 3) get a real degree in something requiring room temp or higher IQ.”
Actually, I disagree. This is one of the ways our rulers keep non-leftists out of the teaching profession. It is part and parcel of the takeover of education by the left that has occurred in my lifetime. Personally, I would trash the entire public education system today and make it a felony for anyone who has been a public school teacher or administrator to participate in educating youths in the future. That’s the only way to purge the system.
But as long as the system exists, we should not be encouraging colleges to filter future participants in the system for politically correct beliefs.
And so next you will be claiming the same for pedophiles as well. Sorry I dont buy into your line of sensitivity towards corruption.
Exactly. It’s not about education anymore, it’s about indoctrination. Students can graduate while being illiterate or innumerate, as long as they can spout the “correct” doctrine. That’s the primary aim of modern “education”.
I agree. What is she doing getting a Master’s from Augusta University? You really need a named school for a Master’s Degree. I went to Florida State for my Bachelor’s Degree and that is where you can lower your standards in regards to name of the school. Florida State was also the time to have fun. However, when you go for the Master’s Degree, you have to grow up and get serious and that is where you go to a top tier school which is why I chose to attend George Washington University for my Masters. See how that works!!!
Exactly my thought as well. If they are not holding Muslims to the same standard they will (or should) have a difficult time defending their position.
“Im glad the leftists are no longer pretending to be nonjudgmental and are openly taking the position that nonconformist thinking will not be tolerated. This is an admission that they are no longer interested in freedom or diversity, and youre either in lockstep compliance with their rigid ideology or against them.”
I am too because it will be easier to shoot them and not have a guilty concience.
