Obama: Post-Racial, Post-Partisan, or Post-Sanity? (Things are getting crazy)

Confession time: Back in April of 2008, during the presidential primary campaign, I wrote that the racial healing which Senator Obama seemed to promise and might portend would be good. At about the same time, I suggested that Senator Obama was saying some things other politicians weren’t saying but should. Some of the things he said seemed problematical, but like many others I thought I understood what he meant; I wanted to understand him and hoped that he might be a better president than Senator Clinton. It seemed as though his election might stunt the weeds of racism and partisan governance. However, soon those weeds were in full bloom. They are now producing their own fruit; the flavors have merely become more pungent.

This is the most racist administration since Woodrow Wilson. It’s poisoning the country.

Obama: Most-Racial, Most-Partisan, or Most-In-Sanity? (Things are getting crazy?)

People who voted for Obama had never lived or worked in a city run by blacks.

They just didn’t know.

If you think that’s racist look up the cities that are run or have been run by blacks.Or better yet look at Obama’s administration.Look at his appointments.

Obama’s racism was no surprise to me.

In fact one of the reasons that racism will never be exposed is because so many blacks, and whites with guilt, feel it is a black birthright.

I think it was Rush who said, "If you want to see why these cities are failing, just look at who is running them.".

It all about stylin', partyin', and watchin' out for the brotha's.

No man can lead, or govern the masses, who favors any one class, color, race, religion or nationality. Like a parent favoring one child over the other, resentment builds, and in-fighting results.

America is supposedly the "melting pot"...we are witnessing what happens when the fire is not hot enough...some things don't melt and blend in.

You're probably right...I don't even try to keep up with the PC scene...I'm 64 years old...and really don't care.

OK..the "salad bowl"...but a lot of the lettuce is wilting and turning brown.

All this talk about a lame duck session and the damage it can do confuses me a bit...if the GOP takes over with a veto proof majority wouldn’t that insure that it could reverse everything the dems did ?

America is neither a melting pot nor a salad bowl — America is a pressure cooker without a safety valve.

You’re all wrong!

America is a casserole! Each forkful will deliver a new and different bit of ethic cuisine!

It is. I feel as if we have dropped back to the bad old days of the 1960s, when black power anarchists were killing police and running amok in the streets, people like Eldridge Cleaver (who later got a little more sane) were arguing that raping or killing whites was a political crime and shouldn’t be punished, whites were on the defensive at best and those who did indeed harbor racial hatred were violent and not afraid to show it, and the government poured huge amounts of money into the black community, only making things infinitely worse and destroying the black family.

That was more than 40 years ago and most people probably thought we were done with that and that progress had been made on both sides. And then along comes Obama, who thrives on strife.

Remember, the Devil is the sower of discord.

The lame duck session happens between the election and the time the new senators take office (January). During that time, the old ones, who are already on their way out and have no political risks attaching to them for anything they do, will try their best to get through every iota of the Dem agenda. They will still have the majority and can do it.

I have no idea why you excerpted the article. Pajamas Media does not claim copyright and I did a search for the author in the LA Times and the Washington Post, and got zero results

Okay...but couldn’t/wouldn’t the new majority be able to reverse everything they do?
