Is this ALL the AP has left against Palin?

Kelly Ayotte is the principal reason that New Hampshire does not have a Castle Doctrine law today. It passed the legislature but then Governor Lynch was persuaded to veto it thanks to Ayotte.

Also, 'A Kensington man was found guilty of criminal threatening for holding an open pocket knife at his side while asking two people who were walking behind him at midnight, "Why are you following me?"'

What does that kind of prosecution say about an Attorney General who allows it to proceed?

I’d recommend you take Buckley’s advice and go with the most conservative electable candidate.

A golden retriever with an "R" after his name could get elected in November, so why not go with the most conservative candidate, period?

I'm not quite sure who that is yet, but I don't generally trust someone like Ayotte who doesn't trust armed citizens and who actively worked to limit our right to self-defense against violent attackers in places where we have a right to be.

10 Reasons Why Kelly Ayotte Is Not A Conservative

Thanks for that information, Michael. I was completely unaware of the fact that NH lacked a Castle Doctrine statute. I'm going to ask my attorney about that later today (you know him - he's running for the same office). I also intend to ask him about the "criminal threatening" case. That one stunned me. I hope he appeals.

Carrying a small knife is legal. Brandishing a weapon is not, but if one is placed in reasonable fear for one's safety (in respect of time, place, and situation) a preparatory motion such as this man made does not seem to rise to the standard of "threatening". He had no way of knowing that his pursuers were police officers, and once their identity was established, even they agreed he was cooperative. Bad decision all around.

Ovide looks pretty good to me.

Too bad Sarah didn’t stay out of this one. I don’t think she knows what she’s talking about in this case.

I’ve heard from a friend that Ovide comes across as a “typical politician” lawyer type, ticking off the talking points. Ovide endorsed Mitt Romney, and he’s been praised by Fergus Cullen as a “compassionate conservative,” neither of which are big positives as I see it. I’ll have to learn more.
