At he top of each hour, whenever I liste to Rush/Hannity/Levin, the Obama Broadcasting Company comes on with the news. It strikes me that Compton not only gives the Obama talking points, but also with her out of breath talking style sounds like she is having "tingles".
Will the real Anne Compton please stand up!

Believe me, Anne really does talk like that. Reminds me of Peggy Irishperson who used to speech write for Reagan.
She’s truly awful, completely fake delivery, Obama kow-towing, “elitist” tone. Just terrible.
She always sounds frantic. Done on purpose to give the illusion she has some hot news. So irritating I will always get rid of her if she comes on my car radio

I turn off my radio at the top of the hour for 5 minutes or listen to Rush on 24/7. Ann Compton is a horses’ patoot.
Is she as annoying as ABC News Radio Sherry Preston ?

I used to turn off the radio every time Compton “reported” on the Bush administration, her sarcasm and personal hostility wasn’t restrained in the slightest. You could easily tell she just loathed GWB.
Funny how her delivery completely changed 180 degrees when reporting on Obama.
Kneepad journalism is still alive and well at ABC.

You read my mind — I was going to post about how terrible Sherry Preston is. Sherry Preston introducing Ann Compton is the very definition of ear-splitting horror.

Anne Compton’s juicy secret delivery is annoying. Sherry Preston has taken over Peter Jennings’ style of newsreading. She does a singsongy thing with a little catch in her voice. It was irritating when he did it and she is worse.

I doubt that there is a single Rush/Hannuty/Levin listener that wants to hear Compton. Unfortunately where we live its broadcast by WABC
Oh, I can’t stand her. I’ve written a few complaint emails to ABC during the Bush years. My pet peeve? When she “reported” on Bush like this: “President Bush INSISTS that ... blahdee blahdee blah...”
