“The term Jordyptian Substitute name for Palestinian, based on the fact that most modern-day self-identified Palestinians are descended from Arabs who emigrated from either Jordan or Egypt, (though, many of today’s Palestinians’ grandparents are from Arab Syria as well) and the fact that there never has been an actual independent nation called Palestine nor an identified ethnicity called Palestinian until recently in political history. Jordyptian is a contraction of Jordanian and Egyptian. [1]”
Irrelevant.
By that I mean you to the West Bank or Gaza and ask someone what they are 99.999% of the time they will say Palestinian.
They are Arabs, period. Nothing more, nothing less.
Pronounced with a ‘T’ instead of the ‘N’ at the end, it makes more sense...
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

They though of themselves as souther Syrians, but no matter.
Good One, since even way back in the day...Hagar the Mother of the Arab People WAS Egyptian.
And her son Ishmael took an Egyptian wife.
So the seed of Abraham through the line of Ishmael got Egytianized TWICE (at least!)
The definition is utter BS and a byproduct of political correctness.
They are Arabs, specifically Transjordanians.
I had been trying to call them ‘Gazans’, but this is good.
We can get this into the English/World Lexicon (Yes, we can!/sorry)
I shall try to remember this! Thank you, PRePublic - and thanks for the ping SJackson.
