There’s an old story at USAFA (no names). During an early triple-e/football scandal, one otherwise innocent member of the football team, a jr./second classman inadvertently learned about widespread athlete cheating. He resigned because he couldn’t report the cheaters. My kids think of him as a hero because they still can’t quite grasp the meaning of the code. How can you betray your FRIENDS? No question that it’s tough, but being tough is part of the lesson.
