Since the Democrats control both houses of the Legis and the Gov.’s office and all statewide elective offices and all but two congressional seats and both Senate seats, I would say if Al D’Amato is controlling who is and is not a GOP candidate then this group should investigate any monies that may have originated from the state and national Democratic Party and been deposited in accounts controlled by Al D’Amato. Because he’s been doing the Dems a favor if he’s been picking the candidates.
All of his monies should be investigated. I read just a few days ago that his lobbying firm’s reported income was quite modest— less than $2M annually. Means he’s probably laundering it or taking cash under the table. There is also a documented story about a phone call to the Port Authority (or perhaps MTA) for which he was paid $500K. The company who paid him also donated to one of his “proteges,” Rick Lazion (if memory serves me).
